thanks for all the advice. I can't believe the original lettering is $100 - $200 !!! i did place a bid on some lettering on eBay. not full price... lets see how it goes. I also found this website that sells the lettering also... not OEM but according to them, its the exact dimensions / spec... -

Plasti-Dipped Wheel Arches and Plastics
plasti dip is pretty forgiving and holds up well. I plasti-dipped my previous vehicles grill, an Acura MDX... couldnt take that 'beak' look so i sprayed it black, leaving just the Acura logo chrome. it held up very well, considering it was at the front of the vehicle where lots of road debris... -

Brake pad wear sensor problem
^^ thanks for the info! i do get the 'i' message on the rectangular display. now to find the time to drive over to the dealer / local indy. when the pads are fully worn, does the amber BRAKE turn to red? if the brake pads do need replacing, how much am i looking at (ballpark)? i am not... -

bringing up an old topic here. i had the amber brake pad sensor light up this past weekend. i am getting the same symptoms as bbyer... sensor only lights up and chimes whenever the brake pedal is not pressed. when i press the brake pedal, the amber light goes out, and goes back on again... -

Center Brake Light replacement
i cracked my high mount center brake light... can this wait to be fixed until my next service date, or do i risk more damage if water comes into the crack? -

LR3 as third vehicle?
thanks... took a test drive of an 06 HSE with 114k miles on the odometer. suspension seemed to work without any problems on all heights, and i didnt hear anything out of the ordinary... going over speed bumps, over 40mph etc. i forgot to check what the maintenance history is, but the carfax... -
