Hi everyone. I'm Michael and this is my first Land Rover. 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE. Black on cream.
I own 5 BMW's, 3 Mercedes, 1 Porsche and now 1 Range Rover.
Funny, I bought it without keys. No problem. So I go to the dealer to have a new key programmed. I was told I have to buy 2 fobs at $345 each. I thought, odd. Why would you have to program 2 fobs at the same time to make the programming work? The service adviser Christian at Thornhill Land Rover, in Vaughan, Ontario insisted that it required 2 fobs for programming. So $1,400 later I ended up with 2 fobs and 3 hours of labor at $144 an hour for programming. That doesn't include the stick key which attaches to the fob.
Does anyone know if the service adviser was lying?
Anyway, great to be here and participate.
