Hi All,

I have a 2006 Disco 3 with 66k miles. After an hour driving yester I started getting an intermittant whining sound from the rear, passenger side wheel. The whining seemed to be loudest when accelerating. Any ideas what it could be? Cheers for all thoughts.

Best

Chris

Thanks for the posts. I thought it could be the bearing but when I looked under and felt for excessive heat there was none. The garage also said it would be a constant grating/whining if it was the bearing. A mystry at this point!

I had a similar problem a few months ago, only the whining was coming from the front passenger wheel. The whining wasn't constant with my wheel either, it was worst when accelerating or turning corners, they replaced both front hubs which fixed the problem.
