Just found the first "quirk" with my 2025 Defender and am wondering if i am an outlier... It seems like it could potentially be a dangerous one too so I just made an appointment with the dealership.
Yesterday, we had torrential rains in Los Angeles and it completely messed with my rear sensors when backing up. Basically, with NOTHING behind me, it was signaling that there was a moving object there, alarm bells a ringin' loud, and LOCKED my car into braking so i literally could not back up. I was stuck in a weird spot in a parking lot that eventually blocked the flow of traffic because my car refused to move due to the emergency braking. Pretty embarrassing for a brand new 90k dollar vehicle. I had to put it in park, turn off the engine, restart it, and dive into the many menus worth of settings to turn that emergency braking feature OFF in order to move. I really want to get another Gap tool tool to deactivate that crap permanently.
Also, i really miss my LR4.
