buying Series III 109 or Defender 110?

Hi Guys,

I have an 1978 Series III 109 ex military 4 cyl petrol, and I am thinking on upgrading to a 1987 Defender 110 tdi, which one is better? and which one would have more value?

if you were me which one would you choose and why?
