Doing the coolant pipes on 2016 L405 HSE that I just bought, AJ126 (SCV6) and only able to drain approx 3oz out of the SC. Approx same amount came out of our 2015 LR4 Lux with same engine/SC.

I'm reading 5.1oz needs to go back in when changing fluid, anyone able to get anywhere near 5oz out?

Also, Anyone change the oil cooler gasket to block when doing the coolant pipes as PM?

3oz sounds about right. Just did front coolant pipes on my 16' LR4. I left S/C installed. Pulled SC snout. Replaced coupler with solid oem Eaton. Syringe removed 2.5 Oz of oil. Refilled with same. Draining the SC upside down prolly gets the Xtra .5 Oz.

Check this thread:
https://www.landroverworld.org/thre...ar-crossover-and-passenger-valve-cover.42135/

Go to page 5-6 and see there are several common amounts others have gotten out of theirs. I think general consensus is put back what you got out
Yeah, I read thru that, actually contributed, but thought I might get more responses or updated data by new thread, as well as having a dedicated thread for reference as these trucks age and more people change the SC oil. Drained upside down for 24h got just under 3oz out, hard to say how much leaked and sucked into engine as there was SC oil on top of SC/intake in all of the crevices.

BTW, talked with Ed at "Quality Superhargers Online" eBay store, and was told if you only use syringe to extract, then put 2.5oz back in, if you turn upside down to drain, then put 4.5oz back in.

The supercharger is sealed off to the intake, so oil in the manifold is re-liquified PCV vapor. The only place the SC unit can leak is out the back cover, which would be external to the intake.
