2005 vs 2006 LR3

I am new to Land Rovers and have decided to buy a used certified LR3. I have been looking at 2005 and 2006 models with 25kish miles. However, when reading reviews, it always appears the 2005 gets higher ratings than 2006. I do not understand this because from what I have read, there were no major changes to the 2006 model. I have even seen instances where two identical LR3's (one 2005 and one 2006), the 2006 model cheaper. I would always prefer one year newer at the same price, but something seems amiss.

See if the 2006 models you're looking at are V6's. The V6 trim line was new for '06 and tends to be cheaper. Also, since it's lower power, I think reviews weren't as kind. There were certainly V8's in 2006 too, try to compare 2005 V8's to 2006 V8's. Also make sure you're comparing SE's to SE's and HSE's to HSE's.

There are 50 LR3s going up at the factory sale here in Detroit this week. Good 06 SE V8s run under $20 with low miles. Where do you live?
