Valve cover gasket replacement ($3,200)
2011 LR4 HSE, with 195K miles, but in great shape overall. We absolutely love the truck. We have leaking around the valve cover gaskets. When we turn off the engine, white smoke can be seen (& smelled), as the oil drips on the hot exhaust, based on my research? Got a quote from a local indy... -

150K Mile Service

"TP" message on radio display - Presets wonky
I looked through the owner's manual to no avail. Has anybody seen this little amber "TP" above the "FM" on the radio display? (see attached pic). This comes on randomly, and the preset labels go away. No way to change any presets in 'TP' mode. 2011 LR4 HSE Thanks! v -

Language settings/clock reset itself overnight
Went to Sears to get a new battery, and they noticed that one of my terminals (the one closest to the firewall) was loose, and won't tighten it. Apparently it's a "smart terminal" that only the dealer can replace? Does that sound right? Will take another look tomorrow. v -

Thank you everybody for your feedback. I gave up on the Bosch wipers, and installed a pair of the "Trico 25-220 Force High Performance Beam". If these don't do the trick, I'm going with the stock OEM part. Will report back in a few weeks. v -

On a related topic, is there a way to TELL whether the vehicle needs a brake fluid flush? I bought my CPO LR4 with 51K miles, but LR dealer couldn't tell me for sure when the fluid had been last flushed by the original owner. Thanks! v -

Black spots on wheels (oxidation?)

Door hard to shut
Does anybody else have a particular door on the LR4, that's hard to shut? The passenger door of my 2011 LR4 HSE takes twice as much force to shut as the rest. The car has a CPO warranty, so I could take it to the dealer, but I feel kinda silly bringing it in for something this mundane...
