If you stump up for new trim pieces they come with the Land Rover clips installed, Also the Trim piece rubber is new which seems to get overlooked as the memory that the rubber sealing part gets was really bad on mine (So Cal based) where it meets the windshield.
The clips hold the trim pieces...
With regards to the fan clutch tools. Just rent then from autozone or similar. Save yourself a few bucks.

Studs over bolts any day as long as you have enough clearance to get the heads on and off, and you have enough space for appropriately sized washers and nuts of course.
It just pops off. It’s secured by s couple of clips. Get a trim tool underneath at the front and lift. There’s a clip on the left and right hand side I think.
I had a similar issue. Nothing wrong with the fuel system. It was the starting battery on its way out and the aux one totally fritzed, together with the alternator frying itself, for some reason I had to do both batteries replaced to get the gremlins to subside after installing the new alternator.
If it’s your alternator then you will get “charging system failure” on the cluster when you start up and a red warning triangle I think.
After jumping make sure that the battery connections are tight. It could be one has worked lose.
If you’re d changing out the control arms then have a quick look at the sway bar bushings and drop links while you’re at it. They don’t take long and are pretty cheap.
Then if you’re feeling really enthusiastic swap out the upper control arms, mine had partially cracked bushes at 55k, and then...
If you’re greasing bolts just grease the parallel part, Not the thread or nut. (Give it a spray and wipe once you push the bolt though the housing) Torque values on these rovers are all “dry” unless stated in the shop manual.
