Rain Water Leak
This is a common issue and I remember reading about it back in 2012 when I first started considering an LR4. The water should end up draining behind the front wheels. I always check to make sure it flows properly when I wash it. -
Are LR4's actually bi-xenon?
I also had a V70R and can confirm that the Xenon high beams were super weak. -

You mentioned you didn't care for the feel for the LR4 brakes. I am telling you I think they are fine for what the vehicle is. I've always had a properly flushed, full-OEM factory setup. Have you? I'm just curious if non-OEM parts or not-recently flushed fluid could be impacting your perception... -

Have you had the full OEM setup? For the kind of vehicle it is, I think brake pedal feel is quite good. Also, make sure your brakes are bled. That will impact brake feel. -

I will say that while my oil looks dark, it doesn't seem any more viscous than when new. It just darkens but flows like new. -

I've commented on this before, but FWIW, I know OEM parts are not cheap but given my low mileage use, I won't take chances and just use the OEM stuff which works quite well. Excellent performance, quiet, no issues. -

Yes. And also, don't let your wife come in and rush you and make you forget to disconnect a perfectly good wear sensor that you end up damaging and then spend more time on that PITA job replacing it than you spent on the actual brake pad job. Just sayin'. -

I'd agree with tire age. Note that age is not as critical when the car is out of the sunlight. Nothing degrades rubber and plastic more than UV. Leaving a car out 100% of the time in a sunny place could make the tires degrade in just a few years. This is why there was a recommendation on not... -

OEM Contis are V-rated. Townfair Tire installed Conti Terraincontacts that are also V-rated. It's a freakin' heavy, capable SUV. They should let you install whatever you want. I can see issues like installing different tires, or only 2 tires, etc. But a complete set of tires just based on speed... -
