Do you have a timing chain issue that needs attention, or just a small oil leak? If it is just a small leak, apply some RTV or similar and drive on. -

I'm hesitant to say chains/tensioners because that doesn't sound anything like the known bad ones I have heard, but damn, that is a loud clicking. Free bump, because I want to know what that is. -

You've got to find a competent rebuilder. The new transfer cases are obscene. No way I would go the new route. I had my front diff fully refreshed when I had the ARB locker installed and the price was very reasonable. I have never set up a diff before, so it was kind of fun watching the guy... -
