    It ain't hard. Steel bumpers, skids, winch, rack, full size spare, etc. I haven't weighed mine lately, but it is over 8K, without a doubt.

    Yep, Build Mode/Transport Mode/Tight Tolerance Mode, whatever you want to call it. No manual switch, though. There is that mystery dangling pigtail near the battery harness, though. Anybody know what that is used for pre-delivery?

    That is an interesting comment. Holding both the V6 and V8 parts in my hands, the V6 part seems much better made and heavier duty than the bonded together V8 part. At the end of the day, unless someone comes out with a better mousetrap, I think the best course of action is to replace them...

    Interesting, as I was wondering the same thing. Mine is a 2012, and the ebay engine lists it as compatible with a 2012. I did check that much before I bought it. I guess we will see.

    If you used two pieces, then you have the new part. The old part was a single piece that look like it was plastic welded together. I can post a picture once I get my old one out as it is definitely the old style.

    I seem to remember mention of a failure mode similar to this years ago. Basically coolant line ruptures and dumps coolant, no warning on dash because coolant no longer reaching temp sensor and then block gets cooked as a result.
