    Interesting Overland setup

Is that a separate bluetooth dongle in your first picture? Referencing the second green arrow pointing to the Victron text. Just curious, I run a Victron as well, but the bluetooth function is built into the controller itself. Your truck looks so similar to mine under the hood that it scary...

LR4 Xenon + LED signature lights

I put adaptive in mine after cracking an original. Haven't figured out where to wire in the control module yet. Can't remember how I did it, but it is possible to move the adaptives around to reaim if needed. Think you can get a finger in through the back cover but it has been years...

Battery charging issues and a fix??

It will always settle back eventually. best ideas I've heard so far are to rig a disconnect switch somewhere inside the cabin so you can flip it every now and then to get back to a full charge, or have someone figure out what the output of the sensor is that drives it to 14 ish volts and a...

    Steering wheel shake

Worn tie-rod ends will induce a shake, as well.

    The never ending steering knock!!

I have ordered one from Atlantic British that turned out to be out of spec before. You might have just been unlucky.

Let's try to get the facts down on tensioner issues

Wasn't the revision to the guides to put a hardened steel insert into them where the tensioner pin makes contact? I guess I'll know on Monday when my parts arrive.

Let's try to get the facts down on tensioner issues

2012 w/ 92K miles. Maybe an occasional chain clatter on a cold start, but no real issue. I might be hearing something else, as well. I'm about to do them preemptively, however. That is really just because of the known issues, my plan to keep it until it rots in place, and it will make me...

Change of battery - does the ECU definately need to be reset?

Have done reset and not done reset on various battery changes/disconnects. I have never noticed a difference.

    The never ending steering knock!!

Tie rod ends. Sway bar bushings I would bet one of those is what you are hearing. Both are ready DIY fixes.

Mattress Pad in the back - Recommendations?

No firsthand knowledge, but I have seen this one recommend for the LR4, as well. https://www.rei.com/product/113720/exped-megamat-duo-10-sleeping-pad

    Another Defender hint?

Easy to feel like that, but IMO you can't get tied up into a manufacturer. I still vividly remember GM breaking my heart when I was a kid by killing off the Buick GNX and replacing it with the GM10 version "Regal" before I could get my hands on one. It was a tough lesson in economics for my...

Mattress Pad in the back - Recommendations?

Most queen size should work. I use 2 singles, but measured out for a queen before I went that route.

    Another Defender hint?

Yep. Triple locked from the factory with 4.6ish gears and 35's, removable top and doors, an engine tuners already know and Ford volume to drive the aftermarket. This thing looks to be a contender. I would definitely be shopping it if in the market. The newer Defender does nothing over this...

DIY Grill Light Bracket and Lights

Those look good. Every now and then, I think maybe I shouldn't have gone all in and just done a hidden winch mount and lights mounted like that. I don't think it very long, but sometimes I do.....

    Showoff Your LR4

My favorite as well. Probably because the weather is so much nicer in the summer there than in Texas.... If you have the chance, "The Wall" at Poughkeepsie Gulch is my favorite obstacle in the area. The LR4 will walk it without winching, although there are preset winch points if you need them.

    Another Defender hint?

And here I sit patiently waiting for the Bronco reveal tomorrow. I'm not in the market for anything currently, but this Bronco has my curiosity piqued more than any vehicle in recent memory. Especially as a comparison to the D2.

    SYA Spacer/Strap kit

Some of it is coming back to me as I think about it. The rears attach to the knuckle bolt as shown in the first picture I posted above. They are different, but will only fit on the side they are intended for. When they are installed correctly, the flanges surround the strap, and are also...

    SYA Spacer/Strap kit

They serve to keep the straps from rubbing on the strut cylinders or other items. If you call lucky 8 they can walk you through exactly where they go. You want to use them. I can't describe it from memory as it has been so long since I installed mine. I'm out of town for the holiday, but I...

    LR4 vs Defender

If the Bronco shows up with factory 33" tires, a live axle, and available triple lockers JLR better hope the Defender works Karen the soccer mom up into a riotous frenzy of passion because that is who will be left to line up to buy them. Can you imagine what the aftermarket will do with a Ford...

    Well crap!

400-500 in parts would cover water pump and both crossovers. you don't necessarily need to pull the intake to do the water pump, at least on the V8. I can't comment on the labor required to pull the supercharger to access the crossovers on the BY.

Excessive rolling when turning or at speed

Sway bar drop links not tightened? you should not have had those off when doing the job, but that is the first thing I would look at if experiencing excessive body roll.

    LR4 vs Defender

Those tents look cool and convenient, but after doing serious wheeling with a couple hundred pounds of crap on the roof, I swore never again. That experience was what drove me to build a sleeping platform and figure out a way to mount everything low on the truck. My rack really just serves...

    18’ Tuff ant wheels

I don't know about the spacers, but seriously, if you have to grind a bit to get them to work don't sweat it. I know that kind of thing makes some people nervous, but mine were ground more than 50K miles ago and have given no issues whatsoever. Grind them if needed, hit them with some spray...
