Photobucket's owners need to die an exceedingly protracted and painful death. Couldn't agree with you more on that.
That post you made years ago, by the way, might just be the single most useful thing posted here.
I feel like I've referred people back to that dozens of times over the years.
I second the poly bushing alternative.
I know some here eschew them, but I have had zero issues with mine and it eliminates a known weak point of the vehicle.
I actually went all in and had all of mine replaced with the orange poly. The only rubber left on mine are the rear wheel knuckle...
I use and can recommend British Auto Solutions in Katy. I-10 @ Mason Rd.
Tell Joel the guy with the white LR4 recommended him to you. He will know who I am.
Very slow leak at either a single corner or front or rear block and car compensates by leveling the system?
These can be dammed hard to troubleshoot because the controller is always adjusting. Maybe get it to off-road height and the pull all the EAS fuses and let it sit for a week. That would...
Won't be back with mine for a week or more, but if no info for you by then, I will take some readings.
Aren't the compressor and the three valve blocks the only "active" part of the actual mechanical system? if you rule out malfunction with those items everything else in the system is passive...
I would so rather deal with guys where I buy my farm equipment than any LR dealer I have everr dealt with. But I have been accused of being a redneck a time or two...
On a side note, how does a compressor with a maximum pressure of 243.6psi supply a reservoir with a working prssure of 253.75psi.
Thermal expansion from the air heating as it is compressed? Not a physicist so just curious.
Just broke out my service manual, and it does agree with what you posted.
I'm guessing what I have circled in red is what I saw referenced. No idea if that actually changed from the LR3 or not. Don't have an LR3 manual.
You have the documents, so I'm going with your answer.;)
I have not really had any issues with mine other than a faulty valve block, so I have never dug into it or tried to measure it. I do remember reading two posts years ago either here or on EP that the maximum pressure had been reduced to...
@Michael Gain
I'm travelling for a week or so, but will do when I get back.
I have the Tactical 4x4 dual jerry can carrier on mine. The Kenwood camera is mounted to the top beam of the license plate carrier with the Kenwood supplied bracket. IRRC the wiring for the factory camera has a...
To my knowledge, their is not yet a one piece option for the 5.0L.
My indy mechanic who does LR only is trying to prototype a metallic version one with a local machine shop. If anything comes of it, I will likely be the guinea pig but that might be a year down the road the way the world is...
That is when you have to get creative.
Bring their friends along or just flat out coerce them.
"Oh, you want a car? Great, you'll be skiing with your old man at Christmas, right?". "Tuition is due? About time to chase some striped bass..."
FYI. I mounted a new Kenwood camera to my spare tire carrier and wired it inuin the factory wiring harness. It works perfectly and gives you your panoramic view back.
That spring would drive me crazy until I figured it out.
I'm currently being driven crazy by two small black plastic wire clips that I found on the floor of the garage after changing my spark plugs. Damned if I can figure out where the things go.
I can't recall which side of the vehicle it is on, but IIRC when I did my fluid/filter/pan swap, there is a identification plate on one side of the trans. Might be able to get a visual on it either directly or with a mirror.
Now we're talking. Hit those with some Krylon and carry on.
I wish the 18" steel wheels were an option back when I got my Compos. I would have gone that route based on cost. I think wheels have to be considered a consumable item if you are really working the truck. Just too many scenarios...
