Interesting read. I don't give much thought to road driving, but I have always wondered how much, if any, articulation might be gained for offroad use by fabbing up some sway bar end link disconnects like guys run on Jeeps. Anyone have any clue or ever done it? -
Waffle board mount
Well done. I have the Prospeed rack and use my waffles as the floor for the rack. Your setup is better if you use the rack extensively as I would be unloading the rack to access the boards. Works in my case as I try really hard to keep anything off the roof. Something to consider for guys... -

18’s with 265/65/18. Traction control engaging on highway corners.
I have run 265/65/18, 275/65/18 and now run 275/70/18. All E-rated and at times pressured up to 60ish PSI. Never noticed a TC light. -

Can't stress this enough. The factory weld nuts are ridiculously small (about as thick as two quarters stacked together) and of unknown grade. Run a sharp drill bit through them from the front and they should pop right off so you can replace them with quality hardware. This should be a step... -

I like the thought that it is always on and providing a some charge to the battery(ies) during daylight. Should help to alleviate some of the issues with out horrendous "smart" charging versus what I currently run which is only set up when stationary. -
