    Cooling System Replacement - Dealership.

$1,000 parts. $3,000 labor. Peace of mind. Priceless! :p

    Cooling System Replacement - Dealership.

Was quoted $4k all in from the dealership in the Seattle area to replace the cooling system (front and rear crossover pipes and water pump). Does that sound about right? 2011 LR4 Lux 5.0L with 125,000 miles. Not having overheating problems, but my understanding is the cooling system is the...

    Mid-life Crisis Accomplished

I paid off the loan on my 2011 LR4 Lux today. I now own it free and clear. Came into a little lump sum of cash and didn't hesitate an instant.

    Best windshield replacement option?

I'm getting the Pilkington non-branded glass. Glass shop says the warehouse / distributor is in California and it takes 7-10 day to ship to Washington State.

2016 LR4 Original Owner. 75k. Thinking about selling, but not sure of alternative rides that can do everything this does.

Couple months back I was at a kids' birthday party and one of the fathers attending had a Rivian. We started talking and then he gave me the full tour. It was nice. And that's coming from a guy that isn't a big EV fan. I could see owning one once the bugs get worked out.

    Seattle Indy Shop Recommendations

Looking to do the preventative maintenance on my 2011 LR4 over the next 30 days. Anyone know of a solid Indy shop in the greater Seattle area? There's the dealership, but Seattle is now catering to a high end client base that is too rich for my blood. I've heard "Green Oval" in Portland...

    Best windshield replacement option?

Thanks @f1racer328 that's actually really helpful. The glass shop was trying to tell me about this distinction and I wasn't entirely grasping the nuances. I was left with the impression that the non-logo glass was a different manufacturer but built to LR specs. From what you are saying it's...

    Best windshield replacement option?

I've been making a 2 hour commute from Bellingham to Seattle, Washington, and back on a weekly basis since my daughter has been getting treated at Seattle Children's Hospital and I found a chip and an 18 inch crack along the bottom driver's side of the windshield. I put in a claim today with...

    Touching Base

Thanks for all your advice and moral support. The LR4 is hanging in there. Seems to be acting normally since getting jumped. The only thing I have noticed is the keyless entry is a little more sluggish than it has been in the past. My plan of attack is to buy a battery charger and charge it...

    Touching Base

It's been a minute since I checked in. The LR4 gave me a scare last night as it wouldn't start. I had been filling it with stuff for a trip and left the hatch open for an extended period of time. The interior lights were in off mode, but it must have still somehow drained my battery. I gave...

Looking for a good trailer brake controller for my 2012 LR4

I got the basic brake controller from Atlantic British at the same time I ordered my 7-pin. It was easy to install and has done everything I needed it to do. Of course, I've never used it. ;)

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye

@ryanjl also sorry to see you go. Super strong contributor. I'm still around, but been doing lots of other things. The LR4 seems to be doing better now that I don't focus on it as much. Got inside a Rivian today. Pretty nice, but my LR4 is nice too and I got into it for a fraction of the price.

5 codes no crank no start 2011 LR4

When my alternator went out, my 2011 LR4 incrementally showed increasing warning and error messages until it eventually lit up like a Christmas tree. Charged the battery and replaced the alternator and never looked back. What I have learned from being a member of these message boards is that...

    2013 auto high beam assist

Just checking in. Everything's cool. No problems. Not a big fan of the auto high-beam assist or the rain sensing wipers or the auto steering column. In the first two instances, I can manually make those adjustments better than the system does and I don't mind doing them. The auto steering...

    LR4 Farm Truck

I rented a pretty sizable rototiller today to establish a garden plot in the cow pasture on the property out back. The rental guy looked at the LR4 and said, "Yeah, that should fit." So I put it in access mode to make it easier for him to ramp up the tiller in the back. Once he got it up past...

Different oil level readings with hood open

Maybe the method is a convenience for LR technicians when they are doing oil changes. The "hood up" would make sense if they are changing the oil and want to check if the level is acceptable without having to wait for 15 minutes to do so. They might also understand if there would be a...

LR4 ARB Rear Locker is possible!

I did a quick search and didn't find any aftermarket rear locker either. In fact, I couldn't even find a replacement part for the rear locker. AB had a motor kit. Maybe that's it. But seems more like an electric motor to maybe activate the locking differential rather than the unit itself...

    becoming collectible

An 8 year old vehicle with 12k miles averages out to 1.5k miles a year. Is that even good for a vehicle to be driven that little? I've heard there can be problems that arise from lack of use.

Homelink buttons on rear view mirror

This may sound stupid (and probably is) but have you tried pushing and holding down two buttons at the same time (outside right and outside left, I think)? Been a minute since I set mine up (successfully after a number of different runs at it). Seem to recall the entire library of saved...
