2014 LR4 Leaking Coolant
No need to dump modern formulation HOAT or OAT coolants. They last a loooong time and if you are worried about acidity a quick dip with a pH strip will put your mind at ease or tell you it's time to dump it. In a Rover the coolant will easily outlast the water pump or coolant manifolds (crossovers). -

Low tire pressure indicator light didn't shut off
Yup that is either old stock of old design or used. The gears are press fit on the shat and over torque ruins the fit making it slip. It may work out of box but you won't know for sure until you put it under a load. -

At least up here in Canuckistan most BMWs are leased. It's the poor 2nd, 3rd owner that gets stuck with the issues. -

Great video. The shape of the contact patch changes not the overall amount. Same discovery I made with dirt bike tires. A narrower tire creates a longer and narrower contact patch. For floatation (sand) wider may be better. Oh yeah and looks lol. -

If it hasn't been replaced do the front crossover while you are there and use a OE Jaguar/LR water pump if possible. -

When I bought my LR4 an equivalent Lexus LX was about $20k more. I figured that would pay for a lot of repairs. Now a 2010 LX in the same shape as my LR4 still commands a premium but not as much. -

In the 2010s at least the recommended oil/filter change interval was 24k kms (15k miles) or 1 year. -

Well that's the inverse relationship. More cost may buy power, capability and sophistication but it doesn't buy reliability. Or as my grandfather used to say: Fancy car = fancy problems. For simple and reliable ? Japanese. That being said I view my LR3&4 more as hobbies than transportation... -

You could. Eventually rust and a scarce supply of unique components would eventually squeeze you but no reason not to. If it is a second or third car they you don't rely on every day. Absolutely. .
