Yes please do! I’m down in Orange County.
I’ve seen the hitch mount ones and I did think it was interesting but I was worried it would hang too low off the rear end kind of ruining the departure angle. I already came REAL close to scraping that back end just this weekend lol.
Ah my fellow Firenze. Ok so that’s exactly the kind of feedback I’m looking for and your use case mirrors my own. I use this thing every day and I’ve got one kid in a car seat with another on the way and I love the utility of it all.
I don’t think the Terrafirma one is removable so perhaps I’ll...
For me it’s that my slightly upsized tire is an absolute PITA to get in place under the vehicle and getting it out from underneath is equally troublesome. I will be doing 5 tire rotations too so it won’t just sit underneath forever.
Additionally when off roading my truck it’s “fine” with the...
So I’m *THIS CLOSE* to buying a rear tire carrier. I’ve seen so many posts, I’ve done my research and I just have I’ve just one more thought.
In the day to day, how cumbersome are these to actually live with when it comes to accessing the trunk? I’m looking specifically at the terrafirma one...
I think I have (unfortunately) figured out what the shudder I’m experiencing, I believe it to be related to a new discovery this weekend. As I was driving to the mountains I was using a lot of cruise control and noticed my tach was fluctuating. I still experienced the same shudder multiple times...
Thanks everyone, I was also strongly suspecting the PCV valves as well I just thought it was ironic that I had already ordered them and then to do as preventative work and then to have it suddenly **** out before I even get the parts. I must have felt it coming somehow! I'm not terribly worried...
Hey everyone, I'm trying to sort something out. This morning I had a number of things all occur at once which were not exhibited yesterday. On starting the vehicle and under acceleration I'm getting some white smoke and water from the exhaust (though it's not billowing). Previously I would only...
Necropost but I’d love to hear more LR4 exhaust options that are mild, with a little more growl.
I’m sure many of us would want to keep things refined but a touch more aggressive to suit the engine displacement.
Yeah everyone has their different seating preferences to be sure. In my case I have primarily driven low, sporty hatchbacks and wagons, but in the last few years I spent with my Rivian I acclimated to having a higher vantage point. However, though the vehicle type has changed, what hasn't is my...
I’m not obscenely tall, same as you at 6’2” but about 33” inseam and I think in combination with the high pedal placement (and my sz 13 shoes) it’s JUST tight enough to make me want a little more.
But to be fair very few vehicles have fit me perfectly in my ownership history. I just can’t...
I’m guessing I know the answer already but as I was playing around with the IID tool looking at various data points in my LR4 (not changing things, just observing) I started thinking about the seat position sensor and wondered if there is some way to adjust the stopping point of the seat rails...
Oh wow I'm surprised you were able to fit it underneath with the heat shield in place. I had to remove mine to fit the KO2 which by the numbers is slightly smaller (also fully deflated).
I'm trying to research and find an answer on behalf of my dad but so far I'm striking out on details. Would the OEM 10-spoke 18" wheels from an LR3 fit on a later model L322 HSE? It's the non-supercharged model and doesn't have the Brembo brakes. Presumably it would require a spacer to clear...
Eh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, not really. As long as it's not doing something detrimental to the computers I'm content to leave it alone and just keep on driving.
Nice to know the AT4W fits well enough! I was strongly considering those but was concerned the slightly larger diameter was going to cause rubbing...
30/31/32 etc. I have to assume that’s tire size in inches? Except what I’m moving to is 31.5” but I don’t actually know for sure what that setting “should” be
Regarding tire size and adding that change via the IID tool to adjust the speedometer readings I'm having a little trouble figuring out what to do, and this is after reading the manual too. In the CCF file I am able to update specs (see my attachment) from 255/55r19 to 265/65r18. Most of it is...
Yeah my shop said it’s in a super inconvenient location to access which is why I assume I’m having a very slight leak again but I know they’ll get it sorted.
Otherwise it’s driving so solid and I love the new wheel setup!
Edit: Well we checked everything out today and there was no further leak...
Hm I don't see it on that diagram but this is the part that failed. I don't exactly know where it is in relation to the fuel system, but I can tell you that the leak was coming from just behind the front axle just off center towards the passenger side.
My truck has 143k on it, but had an engine rebuild at 95k. I acquired it only a month ago at 142k and have put quite a lot into it getting to a solid "baseline", but it hasn't deterred me thus far. I really enjoy driving this thing. For the record, the part that failed is the Fuel Supply...
Yeah I like the presence it gives the truck for sure. So the TL;DR of what happened is that the Fuel Supply Manifold failed on my truck and as such it literally ejected my full tank of gas while driving. It was honestly a dangerous situation but I was able to get it towed safely to my rover...
