Idk how any of you guys can not say this truck is fast. It’s definitely not the fastest thing I’ve driven, but it’s the fastest vehicle I’ve owned. It does 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. That’s faster than the non-M X5 4.8 AND Cayenne S of the same vintage. -

The 5.0 powered LR4 is a missile compared to anything from before its time. Modern trucks from the last 3-4 years are absolutely insane with power. It’s completely unnecessary to have more. I found my D1 to be perfectly adequate and it always had plenty of low end torque. But wanting more? You... -

Yea, that’s factory. The D1 seats were side facing jump seats. They’re cool AF and drive awesome but they’re needy. -

the LR4 is a Toyota Camry compared to a D2 in terms of reliability. Don’t listen to me though I’d be driving one if I didn’t have kids. They don’t crash well. -

I’d rather change with OEM parts every 75k than risk it on some Amazon made in china no quality control piece. Now if it was made by someone like Chase Bays or another well known custom shop… I’d be ok using it. I thought about converting to AN fittings but even those fails. -

Leaving the driver door just latched like that allows you to open and close other doors without changing whatever the ECU state is. You can do that w the tailgate trick. -

Yup, I leave my driver door “open” by softly closing it to the first detent. Issue solved. -

That’s up to you. It’s purpose is to divert energy (and the truck) in a crash outward and away from the impact in a frontal offset collision. -

That new Defender you’re talking about has a 2 or 4” subframe drop and 35s.
