Not entirely accurate. Of course those that entertain elongated oil change schedules will blame anything but… the elongated schedule or the fact they are not using the specified oil.

    Auxiliary Battery

It will run fine without it. Its sole function is powering the monitoring aids (that is ensuring the vehicle is capable of restarting and that includes the main battery is sufficiently charged) And we are at odds…. I like stop-start. Mother Nature needs all the help she can get. (Its not about...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Yes, there's 40mm difference in the diameter between your size and mine. And with the added sidewall, a nice platform for varying air pressure needs. And happy for you that rubbing should nearly be non-existent. Is that a pic at standard height? Do you have one at off-road height?

    2015 LR4 Windshield Wipers

That big plastic fitting where the arm connects to the blade annoy me. So they cost more… the oem are fine for me. Now, if there were a solution for the rear wiper keeping its tension on the rear window, I’d be all in.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

IMHO, The issue with LTs are the stiff sidewalls. You will have better grip at many different air pressures and certainly a better ride by staying with XLs

    Compomotive wheels bent?

If you’re riding in extended mode often, and it sounds like it…. are you getting the alignment done whilst the vehicle is lifted? Running with a 2” lift requires an alignment adjustment. But also allow me to add, I have no such issues on my vehicle. Mind you I do not have a lift. I don’t...

    Compomotive wheels bent?

Unexpected tire wear is typically 2 things 1 wrong air pressure 2 dire need of alignment. Use the tire pressure calculator link I posted in some other threads and compare what you calculate to what you have set. When is the last time you had an alignment? I’m with @jlglr4 , that would be...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

No question about it, both are excellent tires. The tire size calculator link I provided earlier has you get into the wheel wells with your tape measure to assist in ensuring fitment. Put the vehicle into “locked access height” and measure it up.

Lol, coincidentally, I just wrote something on this elsewhere…. For a difference of opinion for consideration. It goes like this: (And do follow those links if you don’t have the education!) You’ve asked for it ;-) I know I’m in the minority here, but for consideration: I’ve provided these...

@Nechaken , try the pressure calculator at https://tiresize.com/pressure-calculator/. I wouldn't be surprised if you're over inflated. Cheers!

    Tire sizes

Yes it is for load. My points were 1. that different sized tires require different inflation pressures in order to keep with the engineered handling and load characteristics. 2. The door card does not match the information at topix... you'd think they's be in sync. It is simply described here...

    Tire sizes

I think of myself as a “pay attention to the details” kind of guy. But all of this talk of tires had me wanting to confirm… On the LR4 HSE Lux, with 2 speed transfer and locking diffs, I just assumed in the “new to me” category that I had the right (from the factory) wheels on him. (Gender...

Really? I don’t think its so dire…. Smoke as in vehicle running very rich and without MAFs, ecm is unable to correctly regulate the air on the cold engine?? I for one, am a big fan of all you’re doing. Keep up the good work!

    Reset monitors for nys inspection

Baffled? What are the actual DTCs being thrown please? (The dealer should provide this) Also, how many miles on your vehicle? And what power type modifications/maintenance/changes have you done? For example, are you using the paper based air filter or a foam/oil filter? Did you change the...
