Advice on peeling dash
If it is, I just wasted my effort and money on a replacement. I bet it’s southern heat kind of thing. Thinking of getting the windshield “tinted” with that ceramic stuff they have now, using a UV blocker product on the leather and throwing up a sun shade when I can’t park under cover. -

I have no firsthand knowledge of the rods, but lots of rovers run them with no issues that I’ve seen. Just get an alignment after installation.- mshale

Based on the research I have done, the lux package does not change the dash material, the extended leather package does. Do you have a leather wrapped dash binnacle (the thing that is a good over your gauges) and the upper door area? You’ll see the stitches as a giveaway. If you have the... -

Correct. I have extended, cperez and rickyn have standard. I’ve noticed an issue where Tapatalk displays threads out of order sometimes so much that I’m pretty much only using it for notifications and quick posts. -

I didn’t find anything physically wrong with the dash plastics. The airbag was normal and the mesh and plastics that comprise the door to which the airbag pops through were all not broken. I did note the edge that goes under the black plastic by the windshield was much more stiff than the rest... -

That's true. How'd you get all the way to MD? I looked all over the underside of the dash panel, and all I can find are some stickers that ID the part, but not by any part number we would know. It looks like Faurecia's part numbers. -

I’m not sure if it was like that when I bought it. I really didn’t notice it and I feel like I would have. However it is still possible. Nothing else on the truck looks water damaged as though from a flood. Carpet was not new and had no identifiers. Engine bay was washed but no rusty cap bolts... -

Water damage. I didn’t even think of water damage. It’s a pilkington windshield with an LR logo. I never was clued in to a replacement because of the brand on it. Looking much closer, I can see some trails of what look like liquid. Dang it. I think I’m just going to try and 3M outdoor tape it...
