The diesels are great! Land Rover products in general depreciate like crazy. I'm guessing most traditional US buyers of range rovers are unfamiliar with Diesel and don't want to deal with stinky pump handles.- BikePilot

Anyone run 235/65/19 on LR4?
I don't recall any recent rrs coming with that size but it should fit just fine. Re bfg vs Cooper it really depends on which coopers, the Maxx series are on the mud terrain carcas and considerably more robust than bfg ko2s. -

Transmission Slop
You might check simple stuff like engine mounts, trans mount, driveshaft play etc before diving into the trans. -
Hitch tongue weight sanity check...
Fwiw 500lbs on a hitch hauler is a very different load on the hitch than a trailer with the same tounge weight. The hitch hauler has way more leverage on the truck and can impart bending and twisting motions where a trailer basically just pushes straight down. That said I tote a 230lbs dirt... -

Best I could tell being next to the defender on I70, I think it's a bit smaller than my lr4. -

I think the defender is smaller than. D5. People wanting the cargo space and 3 row seating will still have to stick with the D5. I'm really hoping that a defender inspired D6 shows up soon. -

20" wheels
You only need spacers if running LR3 or similar wheels. Run 18s made for the LR4 and no spacers are needed. BMW style 99s also work with no spacers if you massage the front caliper find a smidge. For tire size 265/65r18 in bfg or 265/60r18 in a more aggressive tire like an st Maxx fit with no... -

And none are sturdy, e rated tires. 18" wheels is one of the few must do mods for an LR4 to make sense for me. -

Looking to by LR4 Confilcted between 2013 and 2014 model
Timing chain should not be an issue on a 2013. A 2014 will have a v6. Different engine and as far as I'm aware no timing chain issues. Updating the timing chain, if needed, on 2010-2012 models will likely run around $5k. Not cheap, but also could still make a lot of sense if you find and...- BikePilot

LR4 wheel studs?
I hear you there. I worked nights in a machine shop in college. My mic that died was a sweet brown and sharp digital unit. I have to admit it spoiled me :) -
Vibration under my BUTT
I would think that driving without a front drive shaft would do bad things since you cant manually lock the center diff. -

LR4 wheel studs?
I don't, sadly I discovered my micrometer to be dead when I tried to measure, which reminds me, I still need to buy a new one. They seem to be of typical diameter for a stud of that thread diameter though.
