New LR4 owner - upgraded 4Runner
We love it...but its no LR4 ;) We got it in June and have done about 10k miles so far. It drives and handles so well, looks fantastic, and the build quality is great. Bought MY16 MR4 HSE - Questions
As far as I know the mirror dip is a setting that is accessed in a settings menu on the tft screen between the speedo and tacho...at least it was on my 2010.- Lone Star landy

Here is why I think otherwise: Greater ground clearance, fully independent suspension, four corner air suspension, locking center diff, locking rear diff, better approach angle, better break over angle and better departure angle. Secondly, I don't thinks it's realistic to use a "blanket"...- Lone Star landy

I was referring to a stock LC vs a stock LR4. I believe without a doubt that the LR4 is superior off-road and superior in every other way besides reliability/dependability. The LC is a well built and well engineered vehicle for sure. I am a fan of Toyota trucks/SUVs, I own a '13 4Runner, '11...- Lone Star landy

My feelings exactly. We looked at a new Land Cruiser as a "replacement" for our LR4. We have always like Land Cruisers and we have considered one a couple of times. But every time I drive one and spend time with one I always leave with the feeling that they are way overpriced. Even in the '15...- Lone Star landy

Am I correct in assuming that the LR4 key fob is not waterproof?
I think the 2010 (old style) fob is considered "water resistant". The later MY fob seems like it is much more susceptible to water damage.- Lone Star landy

Initial Impressions - 2015 LR4 HSE LUX
I agree. Rovers do have soul and character, they just feel special. It is kind of crazy sounding, but I just don't get that feeling in a Land Cruiser or any other SUV. It's one of the reasons many people put up with the quirks and shortcomings of Land Rovers. I just hope that in the future Land...- Lone Star landy

Visible wires in windshield
That's odd Dan. My EZ tag works perfectly through the heated windshield. I also know a few other people who have LR heated windshields and they have no interference either.- Lone Star landy

Rotors and pads
I don't really recall that consensus either. Lol The first change, at 33k miles, I put Brembo rotors and LR OEM pads on. Those rear pads wore out in about 20k miles. So I changed the rear pads to Roulunds pads, rear rotors and front pads/rotors still had a lot of life on them. I was not...- Lone Star landy
