I didn't have anywhere to "hook" the straps to. So I had to basically wrap the hook around the strap and the ratchet was underneath the mattress which made it hard to tighten. Guess what I'm looking for is some sort of eye hooks that I connect the hooks to.
Dumb question here. I have the full size roof rails with cross bars and over the weekend I had to put a mattress on my roof and it was a pain to strap down with a ratchet strap. What are you tricks to getting a ratchet tie down for the roof?
I'm not sure what the legal limit is for CA but if you say there's not limit for the rears then I wouldn't tint the rears unless you want them darker. but if the legal limit for the front is 30% I would just match the front windows with the rears. but that's all up to you.
I had mine tinted recently and the tint guy said that the rears were 20%. So I had them tint the fronts to match..20%. It's illegal in my state for that percentage. I think you might be a little confused. If the rears are 20% and you add a 10% tint you are making it darker in which it's way...
Has anyone used both Cooper Zeon ltz and Nokian WR G3? I use to have Zeons and my Range Rover Sport and I loved them but they were a little loud. I'm looking at the Nokian WR G3 now for my next set. The Zeon did pretty good off-road and in snow. How do the Nokian work on off-road/snow...
If your cross bars are OEM then you can get replacement keys from THULE for a few bucks. There should be a number on the lock. Just type in the number here: http://www.thule.com/en-us/us/support/spare-parts-keys
I purchased a CPO 2012 LUX w/HD that had 50k miles on it back in April. Recently, the powersteering shaft and pump were leaking. CPO covered it...$3500 worth of work. Other than that, I've had no issues.
I'm not a huge fan of the platform on top on the front runner. I'm looking at these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Land-Rover-LR3-LR4-Discovery-05-13-Rear-Access-Door-Ladder-G4-Challenge-Style-/171398380450?fits=Make%3ALand+Rover%7CModel%3ALR4&hash=item27e823bba2:g:zgcAAOSwnDZT0qxd&vxp=mtr
steering rack and pump has gone bad. Waiting on warranty to respond if they will cover it. They should right? Does Land Rover CPO outsource their warranty stuff? Or does Land Rover handle all CPO vehicles directly?
Got my first issue with my LR4. Every time I turn the wheel (left or right) there's a loud humming noise that I feel in the steering wheel. And it gets louder the slower I go. Power steering issue maybe? It's currently in the shop now. But I'm impressed I've gone this long without having...
that's pretty normal considering the weight on these rides. I've had to change my rears on my RRS twice and changed the fronts once since I've owned it.
