Not that you would ever get one of these, much less one without the air suspension. But I'm curious what happens to those ground clearance, angles and wading measurements if you don't pay for the air suspension option. Probably more like "normal" mode. IIRC, those specs on the SCV6 are the same as they were on. My MY14. Yep, 332 lb-ft of torque. Whereas your V8 had over 400. So I'm a bit confused by the stated towing capacities. But, hey, if that's what they are saying in print then that is good news.- danrhiggins

Thanks! Looks like they addressed the tongue weight issue. Electrically detachable towbar sounds "interesting". By keeping the max tow rating the same my guess is that it is based on the engine.- danrhiggins

You've got diesel!. Specs are a mixed bag. It is longer and has a longer wheel base and not as good a turning radius. Approach angle is better (better match for the departure angle) but departure and break over not as good. But look at that wading depth! Big improvement. Nothing on trailer...- danrhiggins

Todd, yes, the Land Cruiser has had a split tailgate for the last 3 generations (over 20 years). It is not assymetrical like the LR4. shade from the sun?
Some do tinting on the driver and passenger side windows which may help. Can you possibly attache the baby shade half way down the window - just below your field of vision? (Pretty hard to protect your face without impairing your vision although tinting may help - just make sure you are OK...- danrhiggins
