Can I turn off Parking Warning Sensors w/ IID Tool?

Thanks, Eric. But I don't have "Parking Aid" in my Car Config menu. I am using the BT version. 2014 LR4. Latest firmware I believe. (Doesn't it check automatically for firmware updates?)

    2015 Issues anyone else?

When I received my MY14 custom order last May there was a bit of variability in the delivery date due to the need to "truck" it to CO from CA. That said, it came in a couple of days early. Then they needed a couple days to prep and install the ladder, rails, etc. But they were pretty close on...

Can I turn off Parking Warning Sensors w/ IID Tool?

I often have a hitch-mounted bike rack on the back of my MY14 which also has the Vision Assist package. Is there a way to disable the annoying beeping from the Parking/Distance sensors with the IIDTool? I seem to remember folks doing it on earlier models to get around the incompatibility with...

Buy new TPMS for 18" Compos or just disable with IIDTool?

I have the anthracite and had no issues. But I wanted to sets of wheels. Discount Tire initially set me up with after market sensors in my anthracite Compos. No go. So I shelled out the money and got a second set for OEM. BTW, mine is a MY14 and they went to different sensors and radio...

Ivan, what hidden winch do you use?

Front runner slimline ii 1/2 rack

I had Thule aero crossbars and a simple Yakima clamp-on basket and I had significant humming as well. In fact, I had the humming even when I removed the basket. For me it was in large part because holes or gaps in the crossbar would create a hum or deep "whistle" as wind blew over it similar...

    Showoff Your LR4

Thanks. I'll but Argentine on my list. When we looked into doing something in that area (Montezuma, etc.) last Summer it was still June and due to a wet spring they had some flooding. Never got back to it. What tires were you using when you had your flat? Dan

    Take a wild guess..

This is why I prefer driving off road. At least there the damage is my own fault. But it is good to hear from your experiences that if we do get in an "accident" (I've never liked that term - "oops, I was accidentally texting and missed the red light") at least we have substantial protection...

    Broken Arrow?

Since I'm currently registered for and planning to do the Overland Expo in Flagstaff in May I may take a day or two afterwards and go do this. (My wife will be safely at home.) We'll see if I am able to make that trip and if the weather holds. I do have to say that Sedona is an absolutely...

    Broken Arrow?

True confessions. I whimped out. Its called marriage. My wife really, really wanted to hike the trail rather than drive it. So we hiked, ate lunch at Chicken Point then I convinced her to take the road most of the way back to the parking lot. Along the way we watched the Pink Jeeps do their...

    IIDTool EAS max value

BTW, Surfrider is correct. I am only looking for a temporary lift. And I have the BT model and glad that I do. I am sure the other interface works great but I do find the BT interface very easy to use.

Truck looks good. Love the pics of our state! Especially the one with the family. Haven't done Argentine Pass. (Not that comfortable with heights and its only my first year off roading.) But there are certainly a lot of places to go in CO!

Looks great! BTW, we've got a couple of those same chairs you all are setting up. I keep them in the back of the truck nearly all the time. You never know when the truck may take you some place where you want to just stop and sit for a while as you take in the view.

    IIDTool EAS max value

So to learn how it works I need to get stuck. Oh, wait, you did that for me. I guess its all a matter of trust. I hope I never need it. Do we know the limit of Super Extended mode? Or even Extended mode for that matter?

    Broken Arrow?

You are correct! The same steps. I don't plan on doing it that direction though I suspect any of you could do a better job than those guys did! (IIRC, that LR4 did not have 4L or rock crawl which I would think would have helped going up and which I do have.)

    IIDTool EAS max value

So how do I "go into Super Extended Mode" and what does that give me. From what I read in the manual there is no way to "manually" do that. How did you do it? Did your LR4 detect that it was waist deep in sand and automatically lift it another so many inches? ;-)

    Broken Arrow?

LOL! You tell me no problem. Then you show me this pic. Sheez! So how did you not rub your bumper on this?

    Broken Arrow?

Thanks! I noticed that I misspoke about my tires. They are 60's not 65's. So I don't get any noticeable lift from them. But I'll use the IIDTool to give it 1" and have my wife spot me down the staircase (letting me know when I am about to ease down a ledge/rock.) She is very good at that...

    IIDTool EAS max value

Not that I'm a big chicken when it comes to modifying my stuff, but... I just want to make sure my thinking is correct and I'm doing this right before I raise mine with the IIDTool. First, I would only raise it gain some additional clearance and better approach/departure/breakover when going...

    Broken Arrow?

Have any of you driven Broken Arrow near Sedona recently? Any advice? Should I expect any issues with my '14 mostly stock LR4 (w/ HD, and Compomotives w/ 265/65/18 Dynapros)? We're thinking of doing it soon. My concern is that we will be on our own and that it is rated "Difficult" in the...

A couple pics from roving the southwest US In the first one the La Sal mountains are in the background. Some of you may be able to see where I am. The second one if from the Big Horn Mountains trail (runs between the Hummingbird and Big Horn Mountain wilderness areas) west of Phoenix. Like...

    Awning

Rhino Rack looks good. But I just replace my Thule Aero's with Yakima Whisper and it is not clear whether the bracket works with the Yakimas. I'll need to check. And, yes, I have a set of Thule through-bar aeros that were only used for one season but which have duct tape on them to cover some...

    Take a wild guess..

Echoing what everyone else has said. So thankful to hear you all were OK. And it made me LOL to hear how your girls are taking it! I am sure they'll remember this for the rest of their lives. In fact, I can hear them when they are 16 or 17 and have their first fender bender. And before Dad...
