Just to note, there is a flap that covers the 12V outlet and the Aux port...
Heated seats... not fair... the only thing I do not have on mine!!! I need them in the winter and after more importantly - after playing soccer!!!
Another vote for a pre-purchase inspection. Money well spent.
You will spend more on up keep for an LR3 than you may think. I am under $1k/yr, but I only do 5k miles a year...
Silly switch, takes 2 mins to change out, cost about $25, a lot of phantom faults can be fixed by replacing it. I know it sounds odd, just buy one, stick it in the glove box, or even, as I did, just change it out as a preventative measure...
CanAm are awesome, I am glad they helped. If they say no problem, with all their experience, then that is a great piece of feedback for all of us!
Please update us with how the towing goes, happy airstreaming :)
Towing a larger trailer with the LR3 seems to raise the temperature a bit, I have seen many threads on the subject, have look over at airforums.com
I have a 2015 25ft and it is too much trailer at 7600lbs and approx 800lbs tongue.
I don't recall the 23D numbers, but I seem to recall the...
Airstream345:
I have been told the TPMS module can go bad :(
On a side note - do you tow an Airstream with your LR3? I have a 25ft Flying cloud, but I don't use the LR3... Maybe you can private message me back :)
I have had this issue since I owned my LR3. The local indy can't work out what is going on. I have also noticed that the temp display on the dash can be a little off, not sure if this is related.
Going to give in and take it to the stealer ship....
Heavily cropped images showing the before and after. Not great looking pics, sorry.
The first image is actually after the LR3 had been through a wash man car wash, so the top layer of grime is missing.
Worth noting, images may not be the same wheel, but they all looked really similar...
Sorry for digging up an old thread... Bear with me.
Over the weekend I spent 5.5hours cleaning the outside of my LR3. It is the first time in the 2 years I have had the vehicles I really attacked the wheels. I have the 19" 6 spokes.
The wheels were in horrible condition, lots of break dust...
I have an 07 HSE with 65k on it. While I love it and I keep it in the best condition possible. I will not be keeping it to 100k. I will probably sell it about 80-85k to a lucky person for next to nothing and buy an LR4.
Personal experience for me has been, the upkeep on luxury cars beyond...
Thanks for the info, I have the new style drains, the drain was split at the top where it connects to the tray and there was some kind of blockage in the tray area.
I'll let the local independent replace the drain hose and clear out the tray. I just don't have the tools or time :(
Well, today I pulled the headliner down and I could see the drip coming down from where the drain tube attaches to the sunroof assembly, when I detached the tube I could see that it was split right where the tube attaches.
Oddly enough, the tube was dry.
I poked a wire in to the assembly...
After a week of rain here in Oregon, my LR3 has decided to let some of the water in. I suspect the sunroof drain tubes, but the garage are going to look at it on Tuesday. It is very mild at the moment.
If I had a covered place to pull stuff apart i would do it myself, but no such luxury...
My only words of advice for a prospective LR3 owner - get it checked out by a LR pro. It will be the best $100 you can spend on the vehicle!
Now I want a TR6 :)
My other truck is a Ford Expedition EL. The third row is very spacious and the trunk is huge, even with the 3rd row up. FYI: the LR3 seat folding for the 2nd and 3 rows are horrible. Go see how Ford does it. So much easier. Especially for the wife.
We got the expy in 2013 for $50k new. I have...
