Snow tires on 19's
I'm so spoiled by dedicated snow tires I don't even want to use my BFGs in the winter. On flat ground, not mountains. There's that much difference, IMO. -

LR4 Landmark wheels and tires
PM sent back. Thank you very much. No rubbing (yet), I don't see that it will. Others have used the 265/65 which is a full inch bigger and had only minor rubbing so I think I'm good. Had to file down one caliper a little bit, now it's good to go. --- other than the TPMS not working... -

Since having my 2013 for the past year, I have found that I never have put more than ~18 gallons in it. And that is when the computer tells me I have 0 miles to empty. So I have 4.8 gallons left, roughly 90 miles, and don't have the balls to trust that the reading is so conservative. Is this... -

Way too much body roll to the point it's dangerous
I guess what they call it for the LR is a 'strut assembly' the 'assembly' part means with the airbag. Agreed that the strut or shock part is what does the damping. The airbags are the springs though. -

This confuses me, struts are the shocks and springs together. and the springs ARE the airbags. -

Yeah Todd, but it's pretty and super shiny too! I feel like I'm going to be giving up after my current one. If I wanted something that wasn't rugged and utilitarian I would have abandoned LR long ago for any number of options.- roverman

Where does this heat shield go?
Sorry, can't help you just by the shape. The good news is that it should be obvious. It'll be the clean spot shaped like the shield in your picture :) It wouldn't have fallen off if it was hidden by a skid plate. Did it make a bunch of racket when it fell? Can't figure out how all 10... -

Never ending TPMS saga
I drove 1000 miles with the first set, the second is 'supposed' to be OEM and I've driven a couple hundred miles to no avail. As a test, I put my 19" back on today and they were found in the first 1/4 mile. I can't help think it has something to do with the spacers pushing them too far out... -

So I got a new set of TPMS to go on my 265/60/18 BFGs with 1.25" spacers. They didn't work. The TPMS company said that it turns out that they were having problems with those sensors, so yesterday they sent me OEM sensors. Still don't work. Dash says TPMS error or some such thing. I went on... -

I could totally believe that they would be incompetent enough to blow the engine out. But offer to put a 2016 v6 in it? That sounds too nutty. Are you sure that's what they offered?? If this is all true, I would talk to a lawyer before agreeing to anything. A replaced engine definitely... -

Also you'll save the huge markup on parts, in all you'd probably save $750-$1000 depending on what brand parts you go with. Atlantic British is where I'd look for parts. -

No. As a wear item there isn't really any warranty on brakes anyway. I suppose if you changed them wrong, like forgot the pads, and went ahead and crashed into somebody, it'd all be on you. So don't forget the pads :) Go ahead, save yourself some $$$$. -
