Is it worth it to spend $300 for a 68K mile oil service?
Castrol gtx 5w-30 The Lr3 uses castrol gtx 5-30. Just did an oil change and it's written right on the oil cap. I usually change my oil every 5-6 thousand miles with a new k&n oil filter. Oil from walmart $34 for 2 5 liter jugs and about $15 for the filter from Amazon. Easy job. Takes about half... -

HDC Fault - No Speedometer - No Odometer - Suspension Lowered (Resolved)
Might be a height sensor. Do you have the 4x4 screen? Also check your compressor. I've been having the same problem as you. I can drive about 10-15 miles and bing bong I get the three lights on my dash. Lowered suspension, dsc, no hdc communication, access height. Restart, lights go away and it... -

Cruise control switch & headlight adjusters - disco 2
I have a cruise control switch which I was going to use on my Disco 2 for fog lights, never did, sold the truck, don't need it anymore. $10.00 anyone? I also have a set of Disco 1 or 2 headlight adjusters part number stc 1232 for sale. Brand new never opened still in bag for $12.00. -

Can the front transfer release valve block cause suspension fault?
Hey David my truck used to drop in the front overnight and I changed out my front valve block. It took me about 45 mins. and truck was cured. No need to remove the wheel. Just turn it and bend back wheel well. -

2005 LR3 SE unlock the 4x4 information screen
You can do it if you have the gap diagnostic tool. Its a great buy and worth every penny. Everyone that owns a LR3 and wants to work on it should have one of these babies. :) -

what to do what to do, 4runner?
Need to get gap tool to adjust suspension height 2.5" or lift rods. My truck rides with the shorter rods, never have to worry about the 25mph limit. You do only if you raise it to the new offroad height. -

Serpentine belt replacement
I'd just get the Idler pulley and switch it out for the updated version. But check the tensioners while the belts are off. -

Yes, get the updated tensioner I would at that many miles. Also why not do it all at once if you can afford the parts instead of waiting for it to go bad and doing the whole process over again. Updated Idler Pulley new style (part #: PQR500350) New one has a lip on either side for the belt to... -

Battery Needed
just do a hard reset to clear out codes, etc... This happened with mine when I changed my battery. All is better now. -

LR3 Oil Change - Anything to watch out for?
My 2006 doesn't have a reset oil monitor?? I use a ultraguage the number one best thing I've bought for my previous Disco 2 and now I use it in my LR3. It tells me the engine temp, oil monitor, rpms, etc... I got it for $50 from a member on one of these Landrover forums. I have it mounted on one... -

Clunking Sounds
Its probaly your wishbones/control arms or your front/rear arb - anti-roll bar bushings. Type in arb bushes for LR3 and you'll find tons of info on them. -
