Installing the Johnson Rods will not fix the computer fault. It is possible under certain fault situations that the rods will trigger the sensor to raise the vehicle and thereby enable you to continue until the problem can be fixed. It just depends on the fault situation if the...
Thanks man. Yes, I wheel in the So Cal desert and with SCLR. Not sure on the rims but someone on this forum may know where to get them. Hope to see you at one of the SCLR events.

I made that same mistake with a tire shop and ended up taking it to the dealer to get it done right. Good advise! I have rods in 23 countries and most of the guys using them keep them on full time with the larger tires and therefore getting an alignment is necessary.
I love that pic with the Goodyear silent armors and the LR3 lift kit. Got it on the website. Drop me a PM with your email. I like this pic going the other way too!

That was an excellent report and very useful. I'm going to print it out for reference. Just what I was looking for. Do you have any fly fishing recommendations for along the way?
Thanks!
Bean, you would be surprised what you can do in an LR3. These guys are right. You can hang with the jeeps with just a little practice and experience. No need to turn around next time. Your local club is the best option to gain experience with a spotter. Have fun!
The GY MTR's with Kevlar have been great. I air them down to 20 lbs and they can climb just about anything plus I have a lot of confidence in not getting a flat with these tires. No issue with the C rating which I understand is ok for the LR3.
Hope you all have a great 4th!
I run 32" GY MR/R with kevlar 275-65-R18 and have no rubbing. I did tie up the wires with a zip tie as they rubbed prior to the lift with my old tires. The 285-60 will rub off road with no mod.
With the rod lift you are diving in the off road mode for the normal setting and in the extended mode for the off road setting. The kit with the spacers also includes an adjustable rod so you may gain an additional two inches more than a rod lift alone. Can't tell you much about how well that...
Thanks for sharing that mod. I am considering it for my trip to Moab. I live here in So. Cal. and would like to see that close up and in use on the trail.
Johnson Rods
So long as you get an alignment there is no issue with running the rods full time. My rods do not exceed any limits as some would like to suggest. The reason for the tire wear in this post was due to not doing an alignment after installation and with full time use. Myself and...
LR3 Tiires
I posted a tire upgrade chart for those wanting to increase their tire size. There is a cost comparison along with the tire size and diameter. You may find it helpful...
