Rod lifts
Excellent discussion. A few observations on my part. Unless you need extra clearance for the type of trials you frequent or larger tires, the rod mod is not necessary. I have done most difficult trails with stock vehicles and they get through with some extra care and a few...
Tire sizes
West Coast:
I compiled a list of the most popular tire sizes for 18, 19 and 20 inch rim sizes. Check out the chart and see what is best for you. Hope this helps.

The Pirelli Scorpion ATR is the only AT tire available with that rim size that I can find. There are some other SUV tires on the chart but going to the 18" rim is the best long term choice.

LR3 Tires
I don't recommend going to a 33" tire as its too big for the LR3. The 265/70/R18 is pushing it at 32.6 inches and will have some rubbing.

Yes, that will be next. I'll create a link to rate each tire and allow for comments. I captured the Nokian tires and will update the site every weekend as I collect more.
If anyone has more tire selections just let me know and I'll post them:

Thanks for that tire info.
I am trying to create and maintain a comprehensive listing of popular brands ans sizes. I see they have a 19 and 20 inch rim size.
I have to agree with the SilentArmors. A great tire on and off road. I just completed a new listing of available tires for 18, 19 and 20 inch rims. I use the MT/R with kevlar and they have been great. The noise is much less than other MTR's and more like some AT's that I have had. Check...
Rimstalker
That was an excellent write-up on how to get to and fix the latch along with the technical bulletin. I like the extra cable as a backup! This will be very helpful for to a lot of people with this problem. Thanks!

I saw that same failure that umbertob referred to. A nasty break with no way to get the bolt out without a tap tool. Upgrading this would be a big benefit. Appreciate the info.
Dave:
You just need to stop with the negative comments, misinformation and bully tactics. You whore the forums as much as anybody pimping your rods and making smart comments about others. Sell all the rods you can, I really don't care, however, don't preach and prostitute at the same time...
I would have to agree with several of the other post not to purchase these for protection. I had a pair that came with my LR3 and they kept getting bent as they don't have the proper support or strength. I threw them out and got the RS sliders and could not be happier. The RS sliders are a...
Johnson Rods
Wow Blackforest,(Dave). I know you are aka Sasquatch and sell the adjustable rods, but that's over the top. You don't need to talk trash to sell your product. I refer people to your Sasquatch rods and the toddco rods if they want an adjustable product. My Johnson Rods are a...

Have you been in a situation on trail to change a sensor? If so how difficult is it?
I would like to see a thread on what parts, equipment and tools do LR3 owners think are the most important to have with them for off road trail fixes and repairs.
Should be an interesting list and...
