I wish some of the VW and BMW-world tuners would launch JLR products. While I'm not expecting the huge gains seen in those turbocharged products with just an ECU tune, we know this engine is more capable than the middling 340hp it was released with. I've seen some Land Rover tunes from companies I've never heard of but they all say for Range Rover & RRS from 2013-present. Yeah I have driven even an LR3 with more miles and it's night and day smoother compared to my LR4. I haven't taken it to the land Rover dealership, just to the local LR specialist who thought the fluid might be the culprit... Can bad solenoids or valve block cause the converter to shudder? Tranny slips 3rd to 4th
God I hope I don't have to do the same thing. I just blew $1100 on transmission service and new serviceable pan/filter, spent $1500 a month ago on control arms, calipers and rotors and I'm still experiencing the same transmission clunkiness as before.- Fields Carlisle

I've noticed shifting seems to be slightly improved since the fluid and filter/pan service, but I'm still not experiencing what I'd call smooth shifts. Can anyone confirm the adaptations reset procedure for LR4? I am assuming I need to reset adaptations with my scan tool, then complete a procedure. I've seen several different procedures for the 6HP28. Some say to just accelerate to 6th gear, coast to stop, apply brakes for 15 seconds, repeat 5...- Fields Carlisle

Thanks you two for all your helpful suggestions. I am going to just bite the bullet, order the filter/pan and fluid kit from AB and have my local repair shop do it. Add 1 Quart of Oil after 6000 miles

I'm having rough, slow shifts in my 11 LR4. It has 76K miles, to my knowledge hasn't ever had transmission service, but I'm thinking it's the classic ZF 6HP valve block or solenoid issue.
