LR5 Release Updates?
The last paragraph of the article you posted makes mention of a start price in line with the Discovery Sport not a full size Discovery or LR5. In person the prototype looks mean enough even though more urban/ stylish looking. Also this article does not point out any real facts at all.- AxelR

Any concerns when looking for used LR4?
I would definitely have someone knowledgeable check it. Actually I would not buy one unless it has a warranty (CPO or other covering everything). -

I do agree with Umberto and jwest, however let's not forget that Land Rover has introduced a new engine in the LR2 just before getting rid of it so they could have done the same thing with the LR4 and make a killing selling these to all the overlanders (and others - GC diesel buyers for example)... -
Wheel Color Opinions
So even though I did make the "mistake" of using plastidip while I was going off-road regularly. If you're only going to go 2 or 3 times a year, plastidip is still a good option for you. Just wash your truck correctly after off-roading and apply a couple of new coats of plastidip on your wheels... -

Plastidip and off roadin
PlastiDip and off-roading is a bad idea. Too much mud and dirt stay stuck on it from what I experienced. -

I like both but I'd prefer Bali blue on the sport and Loire on the LR4. -

It has a strong purple hue. The color varies in the sun. I find it beautiful I almost got a Range Rover Sport in that color. -

Knowing Lucky8 these won't be cheap. 53 something used to have them priced at over $425 plus shipping before they stopped carrying them. It actually was cheaper to buy them directly from Compo UK. -
snow / gravel program
I believe it delivers power in a more gentle way in order to prevent wheel spin. That I know about it doesn't have anything to do with sending more power to the front wheels. My personal experience on snow is that you can get the tail out with not much effort ;) Shift points are lower too I... -
LR4 not starting
I've had to get the key recognition module replaced about a year ago for similar reasons. Fortunately it still is under warranty. -
brake job cost?
I'm surprised that people are still complaining about the longevity of the brakes. We all did our research prior to buying a LR, we all knew the facts. There are other vehicles with brakes lasting longer, bushings that never need to be replaced and electronics that work but this is not the case... -

TPMS removed (useless in my mind) and disabled feature with IIDTool. -
LR4 alarm randomly going off
It's been happening to me a few times as well since I purchased it. Maybe 5 or 6 times in less than two years. LR tells me it could be a low battery but I will ask them to check the hood latch as well. -

Nice pictures. I did the same trail a few months ago without problems coming from Eye of the Whale Arch. On my own (so of course no spotter) at regular off-road height. My favorite part was the rock crawling part that takes you back to Salt Valley Rd. According to the signs it's a hiking trail... -
Front license plate bracket
Not sure exactly what you mean but I moved from Boston to ABQ, I removed the front license plate holder which is attached with screws fixed directly in the bumper. I'd assume they know better in NM than drilling it. -

44 is the max for me as once hot, the pressure is exacts 48psi. -
