extended warranty and mods
Having similar mods (they really aren't mods when you think about it) I haven't had any problems with my dealerships for warranty work. Also as mentioned by surfrider77 you can load the saved settings before going to the dealer. Have fun. -
LR5 Release Updates?
My thought is that it will look very much like the RRS maybe a little beefier. In the first link I posted you can notice extreme body roll when taking a turn. These pictures show it being more planted (stable). I am certain it will perform great on and off road.- AxelR

This is unfortunately wrong. Manufacturers do add as much extra bits in order to hide the shape of the vehicle especially at this stage. If you pay attention to the sides by the rear doors you'll see that there's extra padding there as well. As far as the tailgate it's pretty undefined...- AxelR

Brakes - Replace Now or Wait
According to LR service when the light comes on you still have about 20% life left in your pads. I have to say that I don't trust it but they're probably right about this. I think that I just don't like having lights on the dash. -
Need new lower control arm bushings
I've had almost all bushings replaced at now 87k miles. However most of them needed replacement between 45k and 70k miles. Hubs seem to be quite common as well on mine and lots of other LR4s. -

As jwest mentioned it only is USD 23k... However it is super easy to import to canada the only thing you need is to have Canadian DRLs turned on... Oh guess what they already are thanks to the Gap-Diagnostic IIDTool ;) growing up in Germany you get used to lights on all the time on the autobahn... -

LR4 2010 Maps update
Two dealers confirmed to me that it would about $280 for maps update. However my favorite dealership in Santa Fe, NM repeatedly told me that it wasn't worth spending the money. If a LR professional tells you this... Probably should listen to him/her. -

Trail overheats my brakes and HDC switches off
I've used it numerous times however never found myself having to use it for more than a minute or two (most of the time a few seconds really). On top of that you can easily override it by simply adding a little throtle. -

I removed those before even making it down to Albuquerque. It doesn't make any difference and if you're not really going to take your LR4 rock crawling you might as well keep them. I understand everyone saying that you need to drive slower in water however you still have to drive with the flow... -

I had the same issue in Albuquerque and sometimes in Boston. All other cars and trucks are doing fine but the LR4 splashes the windshield. People talking about driving wrecklessly have no idea about the SW. Speed limit on most streets is at least 40mph and during the monsoon people still... -
