Wow this thread is still going.
I'm not sure who talked about the 3% margin it's pretty ridiculous. As long as you have 4 rim/tire combo the same size you are good.
As far as warranty is concerned, unless you actually mess with engine you will be good (and even then you might still be fine...
So I got my truck back two days ago.
The list is long. Besides a blown compressor the main problem was the engine. They kept the truck for a whole month... blaming it on having 5 other vehicles with engine problem and only one master tech allowed to work on these engines. Everything was covered...
Plastidip works well but it gets very difficult to remove dry mud and quickly gets stained. If you don't go off-road or only in dry weather then you're fine.
Interesting all I've come across over 4 years of ownership is 140Nm. which converts to 103.2lb.ft.
With an assumed margin of error of 10Nm you're still good at 98lb.ft ;)
Edit:
2016 LR4 manual does state 133Nm
Same exact sound as mine.
Dealer in Quebec City replaced some parts. Going back up there to pick up the truck on Monday. I'll find out what it was. Said it was $800 (covered by warranty) and that truck is fine now.
Just got the same sound today on my '12. Car got towed to dealership... we're spending the weekend in Quebec...
Gap Tool shows crankshaft sensor error P0018. Can be anything from nothing to chain tensioner... we'll see. Hopefully we get to go back home. Gotta work on Tuesday.
As a matter of fact not all dealerships are created equal and therefore don't all use Hunter equipment.
That being said your dealership service person is a crook.
Another set of warped rotors for me. Another day at the dealership (2.5 hours drive one way). Enjoyed a rain storm on the way there and back.
This is the third set in less than 15k miles. Always LR parts...
They won't go ahead and admit that they have to change the hubs. Oh well it's the second...
Totally agree with TLB and ryanjl, I could never do this to my truck.
Being that you're from IL there's little off-roading to do I'm aware but I really dislike chrome.
How does the saying goes? Oh yes I remember, better is the enemy of good.
I like your spirit.
Winters on and waiting for the snow now. Might drive up the Adirondacks tomorrow to see how these tires handle the situation, it's snowing up there right now.
