Washing the underbody with a high pressure wand
Been going crazy on the underbody with high pressure wand to remove mud quite a few times and all is well. I also washed the engine bay a couple times without any problems. -

So I'm currently running the DuraTrac 265/65R18 and I've been wondering what pressure I should set them at. The dealer set the pressure at 44psi front and back (they can go up to 51psi). I called Discount Tire Direct and they said to try the car manufacturer recommended pressure and to not go... -

Cooper Zeon LTZ Off-Road tires on Stock 19" Wheels
Going wider on a snow tire is not wise at all. It is actually a known fact that for snow you need to use a narrower tire (or at the maximum the original width - in your case 235 I believe) I would definitely not recommend going wider if anything try to find a smaller snow tire with a taller profile. -

Hey Rybone89, I was under the impression that as of this winter all personal vehicles in Canada had to be equipped with dedicated winter tires and that AT tires were no longer an option like they've been until now...maybe this only true for Quebec. The cooper do not carry the snowflake symbol... -

Which brand and models are you looking at? I haven't really been able to find one that goes high enough. Don't forget you jack your truck when it is in offroad height otherwise it will level itself (might even go to extended mode). So offroad height plus height of your new tires.... Anyways... -

That would be awesome... But definitely not. It will require trimming the plastic inside the wheelwell and cutting the frame horns. You can ask Brandon about it. -

If you go for the DuraTracs the spare fits fully deflated underneath. You will need a compressor (a small one might be sufficient). I have read that there's enough of a size difference to throw off the computer system and possibly go into limp mode... I used to put my spare Hankook in the... -

Thank you Dan. I'm happy I sold my LR3 18s and switch over to the Compos (besides the ridiculous investment). These tires are a world away from the Hankooks and they will do great here I believe. On top of it, I don't need spacers and the tires do not touch the frame horns. The stance is not... -

Forget the Toyos ;) These are the DuraTracs. Very happy with them. Only 80 miles with one really steep dirt climb which went just great (unlike when I did it with Contis). -

A couple quick pictures with the Compomotives and DuraTracs in 265/65R18... I have to add that Barry was very prompt and the wheels were shipped on Tuesday this week and arrived yesterday at the dealership in Santa Fe. Love the looks and combo. -
