This is what they dealer gave me when we bought our 15. Seeing the pics is very helpful, but I still have a hard time understanding how this could possibly *positively* influence the safety of the car in a side impact. -

2015 Issues anyone else?
One other one my dealer told me about was to look at the terminals on the extra battery that supports the start/stop functionality. The battery is under a cover on the driver's side back near the firewall. They found one of their customer's LR4 had a loose connection that was causing similar faults. -

brake job cost?
They do brake well for their size and the 4 improved upon the 3 with larger rotors/pads. It is extremely frustrating how quickly they eat eat brakes, we tend to go through a set of pads at least every 15-18k miles (mix of city and highway.) Rotors can last about twice that long if you stay on... -

Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 Review
They are excellent. Have not used on the LR4 but that is likely the tire I will use when I get a new set. In CO with AWD, it is a great all around winter tire with better wet weather performance as well. Won't do quite as well on ice but otherwise a great option. -

LR4 reliability - let's get better info
2015 Lux Currently 1,200 miles Two trips for service in the first 500 miles, both related to interference from the cooler box wiring with the signaling from suspension, traction and stability control sensors. Issue remains unsolved but LR is aware of the problem and working on a permanent fix. -

It was cold, extremely cold but also happened when warm. As an owner of an LR3 I am unfortunately well aware of the brake light switch issue. This looks almost the same but is a different issue. Thanks for the suggestion though. -

Bushings and Lower Control Arm
Consider yourself lucky if only two sets of brakes in 120k, that is amazing for any LR. On a separate note, any idea if they changed the bushings/control arms for the LR4 from the LR3 parts? I still have the originals on our LR3 with over 70k miles on it. -

This is what my dealer showed me. Seems like the did something like mistakenly fitted them for the crash test, then would have had to done the test again if they weren't fitted as standard. Rubbish that they would help in the slightest with a side impact. -

Diesel, Coming to the US for the Green Oval!
Probably next gen for sure, if there is a high enough take rate for the FF Range. Will be interesting to see what that crowd does, especially with a high spread between petrol and diesel right now.
