    LR5 Release Updates?

I see disaster written all over this.

    2015 LR4 sidestep

It is relatively easy to remove, there are a few posts around here showing how to do it. Not sure what would "fit" better, sliders or something narrower than the stock steps? Keep in mind JLR claims the side steps are integral to side impact safety and should not be removed. Caveat step remover...

    Initial Impressions - 2015 LR4 HSE LUX

Regarding the bumper, my BMW dealer wound up doing the same thing but one better. The plate frame they screwed through the bumper then drilled two more holes attaching the plate itself using screws too long. Four holes, good times...

    Upcoming LR4 Recall

    Upcoming LR4 Recall

Did they provide you with a service bulletin or other reference to the nature of the cooler box fix? Would like to get this done to mine, feel ghetto driving around without a fuse.

    Upcoming LR4 Recall

Starting to get into Lemon Law territory there given the elapsed time, depending on your state's laws. Hope it gets fixed soon.

    Disabling 2014 ECO Switch

+1, let's all try and think it improves the mileage and maybe it will... I remember being in Switzerland back in the 80s and seeing signs at stop lights saying coupez le moteur (turn off your car), manually required start stop. Oh how far we've come.

    DuraTracs!

I've had a couple of sets of SAs on our LR3 and have been pretty impressed. Ride is a lot more firm than stock given the sidewall and tread stiffness, but overall wear has been good and snow traction was probably better than expected (although still nowhere near a snow+ice tire.) Handling is...

    Rotors and pads

You must drive >90% highway or be the easiest person on brakes. I have never heard of anybody getting any where near that figure. Any tips?

    Picked Up new LR4 yesterday

Congrats on finally getting it. You will get used to working the 3rd row, but you are right that it is pretty cumbersome. The upside is the room - I am over 6' and fit comfortably. As for the warranty, my understanding is that the LR extended warranty is actually managed by a third party...

    Disabling 2014 ECO Switch

This was posted above in this thread. Also note that for '15s the battery is now in the engine bay.

2015 LR4 Car and Driver article

All of the prices are being supported by low volumes of new cars and continued strong demand. One of the major reasons we went with a new '15 was the (my view) absurd prices '12s and '13s were selling for. A 2-3 year old car selling for ~90% of its MSRP when new is far too expensive and not...

2015 LR4 Car and Driver article

The blower certainly compensates for altitude to some degree which the atmospheric V8 could not, so that helps us. I though the new Disco was going to come out in 2016 as a 2017? Just thought there would be one more year of the 4. Will be sad to see it go whenever it happens, end of an era.

2015 LR4 Car and Driver article

Thanks for posting. A couple of the points are spot on, and a few that are typical car rag nonsense. I wish the car still had a V8 but the SC6 has never felt down on power to us. Loaded to the gills and driving up steep grades at highway speeds at over 11,000 feet, I have never felt the need for...

    Load Space Protectors

The rubber mat has no raised edges so past basic damp/wet gear you may have some issues with it spilling over the sides. We went with the flexible one since it will still easily roll up and allow for access to the 3rd row.

Help! Need a Sanity Check for LR4 Pricing

One more data point. We got about $1500 off on our '15 Lux. Like your color combo, we went with Mariana Blue/Arabica Windsor leather. We were pinched at the time since we needed to get it done before year end for tax purposes. There were no LR4s in our region in stock and LR makes it painful for...

    LR4 vs RRS offroad

Agree with the comments about the Toyotas. Same holds true for the GL, you don't wind up with a truly flat floor as you do with the LR3/4. I have't tried with the G but I would be shocked if you can get 6' of flat space. Not to mention they start well over $100k and were designed in the 70s...

    LR4 vs RRS offroad

Have had an LR3 for ~6 years (still have it) and recently got a '15 LR4. I drove the RRS and honestly was underwhelmed. The interior was nice and it handled well, but I felt that the aluminum construction transmitted much more road noise and a lot of low frequency vibration (the LR3/4 are like a...

PSA for 2015 LR4 owners - eletrical issue

I have not seen it but maybe you can find it in TOPIx?

    2015 Issues anyone else?

One more tidbit on our LR4. Got a letter from LRNA apologizing for omitting front seat adjustable bolsters on our Lux, apparently they change config and didn't disclose the lower content before purchase. Anybody else get this?

    What do these codes mean?

Can't recall all but has vision assist (VAP), heavy duty (HDP), climate comfort (CCP). Looks like a loaded HSE.

    2015 Issues anyone else?

As part of the repair of ours, they also replaced the air compressor for a faulty exhaust valve, although in retrospect it really wasn't the issue (ours was the cooler box interference.)
