2015 LR4 sidestep
It is relatively easy to remove, there are a few posts around here showing how to do it. Not sure what would "fit" better, sliders or something narrower than the stock steps? Keep in mind JLR claims the side steps are integral to side impact safety and should not be removed. Caveat step remover... -

+1, let's all try and think it improves the mileage and maybe it will... I remember being in Switzerland back in the 80s and seeing signs at stop lights saying coupez le moteur (turn off your car), manually required start stop. Oh how far we've come. -

Picked Up new LR4 yesterday
Congrats on finally getting it. You will get used to working the 3rd row, but you are right that it is pretty cumbersome. The upside is the room - I am over 6' and fit comfortably. As for the warranty, my understanding is that the LR extended warranty is actually managed by a third party... -

The blower certainly compensates for altitude to some degree which the atmospheric V8 could not, so that helps us. I though the new Disco was going to come out in 2016 as a 2017? Just thought there would be one more year of the 4. Will be sad to see it go whenever it happens, end of an era. -

Load Space Protectors
The rubber mat has no raised edges so past basic damp/wet gear you may have some issues with it spilling over the sides. We went with the flexible one since it will still easily roll up and allow for access to the 3rd row. -

Agree with the comments about the Toyotas. Same holds true for the GL, you don't wind up with a truly flat floor as you do with the LR3/4. I have't tried with the G but I would be shocked if you can get 6' of flat space. Not to mention they start well over $100k and were designed in the 70s... -

One more tidbit on our LR4. Got a letter from LRNA apologizing for omitting front seat adjustable bolsters on our Lux, apparently they change config and didn't disclose the lower content before purchase. Anybody else get this? -

2015 Issues anyone else?
As part of the repair of ours, they also replaced the air compressor for a faulty exhaust valve, although in retrospect it really wasn't the issue (ours was the cooler box interference.)
