Honda Passport
The old Passport was a cool suv especially for the time. I hope this is a real product and not just a retooled Pilot. The Pilot AWD is probably one of the worst I have ever driven in snow.- iconoclast

very well then. it's a peeve of mine. in the past when i had detectors and jammers i always went with a stealth unit because i couldn't deal with the v1 being so obvious and bulky even when hard wired.- iconoclast

Not true... even without CarPlay BMW offers OTA updates on iDrive 5.0+ equipped vehicles. Audi is working with NVidia to make removable chipsets where you can upgrade your tech like you used to on desktop/tower PC with plug and play bits. Nope. The firmware did not change only LR/RR have firmware updates for the vehicle unless you know someone who can get them for you. Again other Marques will sell them to you or give them to you for free but LR/RR does not. For me it's not an option. I absolutely hate having devices stuck on...- iconoclast

Ah, makes sense. I am trying it on my 2012 not the 2016. I guess that leaves me with a trip to the dealership? Could my VagCom clear the codes? (It has a generic OBDII code reader built in and reset tool in it despite being specifically for VAG products.)- iconoclast

Is the LR4 good for daily highway travel?
I think completely full to empty I get 22 gallons in the tank. I do not top-off unless in rural areas and in those case I always fill up whenever I see a gas station and I am less than a 1/4 tank. Never know how long it'll be until the next one.- iconoclast

Hahaha... True but I am speaking in relation to the vehicle itself (along with it's size and weight) not compared to other one's that have a completely different objective and purpose. I don't want to derail the thread but a motor that was initially intended for a sedan that was half the weight...- iconoclast

No, 2011 will need a dealer to connect to the network and update. The latest update that I am familiar with on that version of the nav is v20131101. There was supposed to be one last revision after that one but I am not sure if it ever came to market.- iconoclast

Is the LR4 good for daily highway travel?
On the V8 motor with Shell93 in D (no S) I get somewhere in the area of 285-290 to a tank which averages around 10mpg mixed driving. On the SCV6 it was somewhere around 300. Marginal and unnoticeable difference IMO. All highway with the same Shell93 V8 and in S mode it would be between 325-380...- iconoclast

There definitely is an update available. Don't bother going through the dealership. Just order it directly and do it yourself if you have a place to leave the vehicle running or on a tender for two hours.- iconoclast
