nope. the cut-off is different. in addition you will have increased light output over the nar variant with a sharper beam pattern without the dimples on the projector for some headlights.
Better example on my Audi e-code headlights:
Yeah, my local dealer was able to come in a little lower but with tax puts me at the same number. They said they could discount the labor as well but I wanted to see if I could find it online for less or possibly a used set if someone upgraded to a different rail/rack set up.
The OEM LED headlights in my X5M and E63 are far better than the OEM HID on any of the LR or RR vehicles I've own(ed) however the EU/ROW HID headlights I have installed on most of my vehicles are on par with LED headlights in terms of projection, light output and coverage.
Having tried that method and not achieving the desired results I found a better method which has worked since my youth... "UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, B, A, SELECT, START."
If you're handy with a trim pry tool and a socket you can get it done. It is very simple. While you're in there you may want to get some acoustic foam or felt tape to mitigate some of the rattles and squeaks that appear over time from the plastic cover or if you want to go all out then install...
Thank you. I appreciate that and thank you for the link.
I leave the switch in the AUTO position all the time but the marker/parking lights are on since those are not disabled. Also this is not my primary vehicle despite only having 50k miles I purchased it as a "beater" to leave at our other...
HAHAHA! Let's hope not. Unfortunately LR has never reposted, hosted or featured a photo of mine. How did they stumble across yours and post on the owner site?
It is very simple. If you go through the normal steps of removing the headlight as you would when replacing the bulbs you then have to remove the bracket that is held on with four (?) 7mm bolts. Once you remove that bracket you will find a round cap which gives access to the wires I...
On the updated 2014+ you can disable or enable the LED DRL by following this procedure:
Make sure the vehicle's ignition is switched off, and the lighting switch is in the Off position.
Switch the vehicle's ignition on.
Turn the lighting switch to the Low beam headlamps on position...
My friend's rear wiper was not working and he asked me to take a look at it. Before I did anything i popped the cap off the wiper arm and checked the nut. It was incredibly loose and probably would have fallen off if not for the cap. Once I tightened that it worked perfectly fine. This is often...
BMW was the first to have this type of headlight with their Corona rings debuting with the E39. I had it on my M5 back in the day. Then Audi was the first to market with the LED DRL starting in 2008 for the North American Region. Then Mercedes-Benz added them to W212+ and other Marques followed...
I owned an LR3 a while back too and appreciated the looks along with the vehicle as a whole but not a fan of the under-powered V8. On this LR4 I never cared for these ridiculous LED dots that were clearly an after-thought by Land Rover's Design Team to offer a headlight that is similar to...
Hahaha... Thanks. Much cleaner and sharper design without the cluttered and annoying lighting effect. I'll post a photo or two once I get a moment to photograph.
After searching the forums and youtube for possible options on disabling these peculiar lights I decided to take apart the headlight and go at it myself. It is a fairly simple process and if you have about twenty minutes of free time, a 7mm socket and black electrical tape you can disable them...
i don't want to update to post face lift or change; everything works fine i am just not thrilled with the led design. it is not fashionable or functional.
Is there a way to disable the led ring completely? I do not want these "ben wa ball" inspired lights on at all and would prefer they be disabled permanently. Currently the LED is off unless headlights are on. I would like them off even with the headlights. If there isn't a coding option could I...
