    Disabling 2014 ECO Switch

There is no way to "code" this off like on BMW or Audi?

Making a case for the D5

yes. it looks like a drag queen in the sense that it appears to be wearing more of a costume than equipped for what it was designed to be.

    Disabling 2014 ECO Switch

Before I dive into this I wanted to check with anyone who may have done this on a 2016/2016.5 LR4. I do not want the yellow light but I do not want this awful system functioning either.

hahaha... sometimes emotion overrides logic and reason and you follow your heart instead of any other part of your body. either way i am happy it lead me to land rover.

Making a case for the D5

I do not hate the D5 I am just not in love with it. That being said I can find many faults with the LR4. Mainly the tech in it is comparable to what you find in any other vehicle from 2006. The Sat/Rad antenna has the worst reception of any vehicle I have ever owned. The TMC portion of the...

    Navigation TMC Issues...

The navigation unit has not displayed any TMC events in over a week and the icon has a red line through it. While this system is far from intuitive or prompt it was functioning up until the red line appeared. I currently do not have any updates and when I press the icon I get a dialogue box...

Making a case for the D5

I can appreciate it for what it is and an LR4 revision it is not. In my opinion it is a Land Rover that is more practical and appealing to the masses than what it's predecessors offered. The comical thing is despite my initial dissatisfaction I am sure I will own one down the road. After that...

Making a case for the D5

Not really. In terms of interior and exterior they are nearly identical: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/compare/Land-Rover-Discovery-vs-Land-Rover-Range-Rover-Sport_d152_d834#section-specs

Making a case for the D5

I owned a D2 as well along with an LR3 and now two LR4. The D2 was quite different in some ways but overall very similar in regards to the way it rode, the layout of the greenhouse, the alpine roof etc. Where the major difference and improvement was found was under the hood. There aren't going...

Making a case for the D5

This is how I see it as well. This is not a new LR3/LR4 it's a completely new vehicle and while it replaces the Discovery of yesteryear it does not replace it. It essentially is a more affordable and practical Range Rover Sport (IMO). They kept the split and powered it on the Range Rover...

Wear & Tear hvac knobs - door armrest

exactly. such a nice vehicle deserves the right treatment. we're not talking about a twenty year old sh!tbox here or a teenager's first car with a shoestring budget.

Why not just buy new replacement knobs?

Making a case for the D5

the the interior in the D5 doesn't feel like it's from any real european luxury sedan... perhaps something out of the volvo line-up or along the lines of lexus or acura but definitely not the same fit or finish of some of the euro luxury marques.

    LR4 Accessories

Not much better in the 825w Meridian system either... It's even more disappointing in the L405. Being spoiled by the audio in my other vehicles it makes me wonder how this system even made into these vehicles. The previous H/K L7 offered in the L322 was much better however the top tier Meridian...

Wear & Tear hvac knobs - door armrest

Agreed. Our LR3 HSE had 60k miles on it and the knobs and door panel did not show any signs of wear. Not even on the grab handles.

    Range Rover seat in LR4

it is more than just a seat swap. you would have to do all the duct work and change the hvac system. even at that point i am not sure if it will function in the manner you would like.

Wear & Tear hvac knobs - door armrest

The door wear looks like someone presses their body weight against it to adjust seat position. You can tell by the way the vinyl is pushed forward and bunched up. I've never experienced knobs wearing like that and have only seen melted interior bits like that in Ferrari F355 I had but others...

    Cargo attic DIY

the ones that were built into the vehicle from factory were secure and used the headliner to hold the objects in place. a make shift one like in the original post was not designed or intended to be used as a storage area so i would say it is very likely but no way to answer in certainty what the...

my wife said the same thing... it is such a nifty feature and probably does not cost a whole lot... so why remove it? it should even be added for 3rd row passengers who do not have nets on the back of the second row.
