Wiring offroad LED's to the factory fog lights

Not a bad idea, but the foglight circuit goes off when hi-beams are selected (at-least NAS vehicles are wired this way). This may not be an issue for you depending on how powerful you offroad lights are, maybe your hibeams are now longer needed. You should run the fog-light 12v positive to a...

    06 LR3, High Compressor usage

Get the EAS or IIDTOOL: http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool.html You can monitor the tank pressure and compressor temperature (among many other things). Its really a must have for maintaining these trucks as they get older. I had a slow leak when it was cold in my front valve block...

2005 LR3 for sale with a suspension fault - negotiate or run away?

If it had anything rare that made it compelling like your favorite color, or a HD rear locking diff, or some hard to find LR accessories than I would negotiate $1,000 off to cover the repairs. Otherwise find another with documented history.

    Left front height sensor wires

You can relocate the wire with zip ties to the the top of the frame rail. I think later Lr3s were assembled this way. I had to move mine to rum my 32" tires with out a lift everyday.

what to do what to do, 4runner?

I think the new defender will be my next ride too. I love the outgoing defender character and size better than my LR3, but also like the EAS and creature comforts of my LR3. The new defender will hopefully merry these 4 things together in one package.

Cheapest way to replace lost key fob?

Good luck finding that lock smith...Last I heard there is only one machine that cuts these keys and LR owns it. You could get a new blade from the dealership and match it to a used fob and reprogram you truck to accept it. Call around - I found a cheaper dealership that only charged me $295...

    Help with parts - LR3

Lucky8 sells that mantec front skid plate in the usa. It's light weight aluminum and a piece of art. Try search tempest. Com to look for the LR expo rack and other discontinued accessories. I just found a new LR raised air intake on CL for $250. That's also where I found my expo rack.

    Help with parts - LR3

Its no arb bumber, but My aframe has bounced a NY deer at 45 mph and a f150 at 15mph. and looks good while doing it . I don't think all aframe were built/installed the same way. Mine has 4 bolts into the front frame. Some just had screws into the plastic.

Suspension fault, random raising and lowering, up and down especially at idle

Same behaviors as mine - started lowering/raising each corner sequentially at stop lights. Replaced both rear sensors fixed mine too at 105k. Mine only would happened when the roads were cold (<40F) AND wet. Either cold or wet was ok, but not both.

Any land rover accessories, like your rubber floor mat is only ever sold as a set. Break a tiny plastic clip and on the $1200 roof rack and only option is buy a new roof rack or fabricate a new part. head rest should be available as a LR part - call the local dealer for the part number. Have...

    New purchaser/user 2005 LR3 SE V8

Should be fine (by now). Most of the common issues worked out. Take a 15 minute or longer test drive. 1) listen for the compressor running 4min or more - indicative of weak compressor. 2) Listen for clunks in the front - worn a arms. 3) Listen for any clunks in the rear - worn sway bar or...

    LR3 Air Suspension Problem! Help!

    Factory Brush Guard Lights

Is "right of the gauge cluster" the OEM position for this switch? I have the a-frame and lights, but I wired them to my touch screen. I have never seen one and oem install. Honestly, you are going to be very disappointed with the performance of the offroad lights - the LR3 headlights are...

    LR3 SE '06 navigation

Thanks. You would also need to have a kenwood kos-v500 or kos-v1000 to connect the gps to the screen. Think of the kos-vxxx devices like a receiver in home stereo. It switched the audio/video sources, has 4x35w of power, and AV outs. I connected a Bluetooth receiver to the "ipod" audio input -...
