    Another Defender hint?

Using that logic they should have just given the vehicle a new name and "moved on".

This is one reason why the diesels are not coming to the US anytime soon:

    Another Defender hint?

Funny, I noticed that too, I have seen 4 such videos so far, it was clearly a day Land Rover let a bunch automotive entities in to do their first impressions so they could time them with the release.

    Another Defender hint?

This was somone's hopeful design rendering, not a legit concept from LR

    Another Defender hint?

Jerry was just so confident in his description of the design and how it all works together, but then again, he was the same way when the Discovery was launched...so take it with a grain of salt. This thing looks more than capable, and I am 100% fine with the interior, but somehow I wish the...

    Another Defender hint?

If the 110 is too short, probably the forthcoming 130 will let even tall people stretch out in back. My wife hates it, but she has not seen much of the interior yet. I am not in love with the exterior (mostly I do not care for the front end) but it does appear to be very well thought out and...

    Another Defender hint?

In the reveal Jerry mentioned that square as a "design" element to give the Defender a more "planted" look. And of course, the side ladder and side cargo boxes need to go there.

    Another Defender hint?

If this thing does not fly, it could be hard times for Tata and JLR between Brexit and the terrible slump in India (and China). https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/13/business/india-car-sales-slump/index.html

The next teaser is out, still not a whole lot to go on here (funny, in the downloaded image I see a 2nd set of hands holding the corner of the map that is not visible on the site image): https://media.landrover.com/news/2019/09/new-land-rover-defender-expedition-001

    Another Defender hint?

Here is a slightly zoomed out version of the LR teaser image showing the diamond plate part of the hood. This gives the illusion of the hood opening being straight back where the previous images showing it going around the diamond plate part, so I think it is just optics in this case. Based...

    Discovery 5 phone holder favorite?

I don't have this, but it could work if you do not mind loosing a cup holder spot:

    "Debadged" Hood / Bonnet...

I agree. In some cases, well, one case, I think the upbadging is in good fun and shows a sense of humor. You cannot see it in the photo, but there are Cadillac emblems on each side of the rear pillars as well. It was an older couple, so you know it was just damn funny to them to do this.

    "Debadged" Hood / Bonnet...

Boy those two LR's sure do look naked. Funny how the eye gets trained to see something. If it were never there I would not think twice about it, but somehow something seems missing. I am sure a few weeks without it and that feeling would go away though.

    "Debadged" Hood / Bonnet...

I'd like to see as well, my wife has some dents on the front edge of her RR hood and once we get it fixed and painted she is considering not replacing the lettering. I've grown accustomed to the front wording, but really it's just a LR vanity plate if you ask me. lt's ridiculous how all the...

New 2013 LR4 owner with a couple questions.

If they would not pass a state inspection, they have 'failed'. If there are no sypmtoms (thump noise over bumps or upon hard braking, sterring wheel shimmy when braking, etc) then wait it out - they will "fail" and your warranty will work then. It's not a hard and fast rule but they seem to...

This is a little odd to me.

I guess it is plausible this is the case. This is roughly $750 US, which is high, but not out of the realm of "normal" for a Land Rover dealer doing the work. If you can find an independent shop in your area that works on Land Rovers, you will likely save some money. OEM brakes on most Land...

It’s the new Land Rover Defender!

Not digging the diamond plate at all - to me it looks silly and forced but I think it will be part of an option package, so I am not too worried about it. Headlights are remarkably old-school when you consider how crazy car makers have gotten trying to make them seem flashy, or mean, or like a...

    Another Defender hint?

My guess is that is captured from some recent filming for upcoming LR media. The diamond plating on the hood seems a bit forced based on the look of the rest of the vehicle. A nod to the past for sure, but it is not working for me in this photo. But, with so many variations and option...
