This is what happens if you don’t listen to your LR4
I just recently installed the ultragauge and the temperature hangs around 194-195 driving and I’ve seen 205 idling in traffic while the dash gauge just sits in the middle. Did your dash gauge rise at all? -
Sun Roofs on a 2014 LR4 opinion please
They have a mesh cover and yes it’s hot. I bought three windshield shades and cut them to fit all three sunroofs, zero light leaks. I just assumed all LR4’s have sunroofs. -
Ultragauge 2
I ordered the ultragauge to monitor the temps since I live in Vegas. So far I’ve only setup the coolant temp and set the alarm for 205. In the picture you can see it was 111 out and cruising at 35 temps stays 194-195, setting in drive thru it did hit 201. -
Blown head gasket
I’m curious about head replacement, can’t you just take them to a machine shop and have the milled like older aluminum heads? -
2011 lr4 hd radio problem
I have the factory roof rack with sliding cross members, the back one was almost above the antenna so I slid it forward, everything works good now. -

My HD radio works great, it’s the satellite Sirius that drives me nuts, cuts in and out driving around town, I install an after market in my LR3 that works flawlessly. Is there a antenna upgrade for the LR4? -
Gauge options?
What options are there for a digital type of gauge to show coolant and oil temp? I am leaning towards scangauge 2. -
Intelligent Start/Stop battery
We just got back from moms condo in Cape Canaveral and rented a Jeep Cherokee with the stupid start stop feature and I just don't get it, every stop it shuts off but when the air gets warm it starts to cool car off so pointless then lead foot wife punches it when the light turns green so the car... -

Yep, my 08’ RR was $1700 at the dealer. They replaced both fronts and calibrated the computer.- Cthehentz

Fuel purge valve / Fumes Smell

Hood flutter
Mine did flutter, when I removed the passenger hood latch to bypass the annoying alarm switch and reattached the latch that solved the hood flutter. -
Front Control Arm Replacement
I used my 20v dewalt 1/2impact to break loose and reassemble, the passenger side was a bear but using the impact and long wrench on the cam bolts worked best. Like others I replaced both complete lowers with new cam bolts. I am debating weather to toss the old lowers or rebuild them. -

That’s good to know, just had the fuel system cleaned on my wife’s 08’ Range Rover with 70k but that’s the 4.4jag motor, is that a different setup then the 5.0? -

Jump-starting
I just carry a small jump box for such occasions, Holmes it up and jumped the LR4 without issue. -
Intermittent Charging System Fault
A failing alternator and or weak battery will cause issues, have you tested either of those and have you tried to livestream via OBD while driving to see any fluctuations in voltage? -
Castrol Synthetic Motor Oil Choices
I use mobile 1 and change oil every 4K miles. I find it hard to break old habits when it comes to oil changes. -
Lower Control Arms
Finally got a chance to replace both lower control arms, sway bar bushings and arms. Everything went smooth and the dewalt impact never broke a sweat. Took about four hours and another two hours getting alignment done. No more pops bangs clanks..... -
2011 LR4 Trailer Reverse Sensor
No parking sensor button, just a plastic blank cover. Now I do have the factory tow package but, I have not towed with this LR yet.
