So here is why after owning (4) Land Rovers I don't think I will ever own one again.

Relay replaced? In theory the compressor relay in the engine compartment fuse box, (at least on an LR3), should have been replaced when the new compressor was installed. You might consider replacing the relay anyway given that system has been beat up a bit. -

Well now that you ask the question, about all I can think of is the Disc3 forum is still very much in operation. Also it seems the Royal Protection Service is still running 3s and 4s - probably have to go to the G Wagon in the future however - yes a good question. -

Use something, maybe a flat blade screwdriver or nail file to pry the plastic halves apart. If your cover is per the jpg, just start at the top where the wires go in. In my case, they almost fell apart when I started; in fact I wondered why they had not seperated going over a bump etc. -

If you still have the original windscreen, the odds are that the glue that secures the optical rain sensor to the inside surface of the glass has let go. There is a plastic clam shell that unsnaps into two halfs behind the interior rear view mirror that hides the sensor. I suggest you unsnap... -

Yes, much appreciate the post; the brake switch circuit seems to affect the whole vehicle - guess it messes up the car computer - sends or not sends odd signals to the computer than then the 3 goes crazy. It seems to all seems to start with water. It is wonder that 3's can keep running in the UK. -
