Here is the engine management system overview which might help. I really would double check all your connections. I'm also not sure how a TPS and MAF sensor are related to cause limp mode. I'll have to research that.
I agree with Houm, I converted my Disco II to coils and the ride was never the same. My LR3 has 237k and I replaced the front bags about 209 and am pretty sure the rears are still original. I have rebuilt the compressor. Kind of like I said earlier, most folks are hard core one way or the...
Well I finished the tank with the BG44 in it and refilled and within 10 or 15 miles the light came back on so I'm going to try another can of BG and if that doesn't work I'll try the MAP sensor. Yikes, that sensor is $300, maybe I'll tighten the oil filler cap first...
This subject has been hashed over and over and my opinion is it boils down to personal preference. Many of us say stay with what Landrover engineered. Others say go with coils and don't look back. If you search the threads you'll find a weekend worth of reading on the subject.
There is a calibration routine you do with your gap or black box tool and also a steering wheel reset. I did both and my susp. error finally went away but it did take several times. Not sure what I was doing wrong.
I posted elsewhere but I put a can of BG44K in having the same codes and at just over half a tank the CE light went off on it's own and has been off for the remainder of the tank. I just filled up a few minutes ago and the light is still off. I can't believe it. And BByer, I too replace stuff...
Filled the tank and added the BG44k cleaner to the tank and cleared codes. Drove to work and the light came back, cleared codes again and drove a few miles and the light came back again. Been driving all week with the light on and am at just over half a tank and when I started yesterday to...
This is the first time I've seen this post and it's two years old but resurrected yesterday. I would love to hear from Michael to see what has happened in 2 years.
On your truck it's semantics. A spring in the old days is what the car rides on with a separate shock damping the bouncing. New vehicles have struts where the strut and spring turn together so the whole assembly pivots. On the LR with air suspension they are actually air struts. In your case...
I ordered factory Landrover from Landrover Merriam. Or maybe it was British Parts of Utah. Either way I stuck with Genuine. And actually they were the fronts, I haven't had to replace the rear which BTW are Genuine also, probably not the originals with 235k miles on him.
Probably one of your sending units. I had the same issue and replaced both and while the tank was out replaced the fuel pump since I had 235k on what I assume was the original pump. It's really not a bad job, there are about 6 bolts and maybe 5 connectors to drop the tank. Once out there is...
If you only have 1 key I would guess it's battery is dead. There are other posts on forums where that code is related to the battery or trying to start the car with the key fob elsewhere. If you have two keys it's simple enough to try the other key. My LR3 has the battery soldered to the...
