Anyone installed and removed the Cargo barrier? Im looking to pickup a car that has one. Wonder how damaging it is to the interior. Meaning do they drill in mounts to the pillars or are there OEM points that they just attache to.
The 11 I test drove was a base and in bad shape. Love the new motor over an LR3 though. Overall Im really looking forward to getting back into a Land Rover. I have my sights on two cars. Both are lux. A 11 and a 12. The 12 has the HD package but has higher miles 70k, and the 11 does not have HD...
Pretty much what I was thinking! Going to go test drive my first LR4 this weekend. At this point Ill probably do my best to find one super loaded with HD package and all the creature comforts.
Alright gents. Im a former 05 LR3 owner. Had the LR3 for 5 years and loved it. Went back to a BMW X5 and just can't stand the pavement pounder. :stupid:
Considering an LR4 and looking for feedback on what year etc to get.
Id like an HSE and loaded. Id like some creature comforts like the...
My 15 amp fuse worked great for a year and then blew this week durring some hot weather. Replaced with a 15 again and will report back if it doesn't hold.

I have done some diagnosis this week after deciding to tackle the problem myself. I have read you can test these...
Update:
I had the condensation return after an engine detail last week. I decided to pull off the lamp cover in the engine department for a couple days and in dry 40-60 degree weather it all cleared up.
New starter is in. Went with an OEM Densco. Wow what a difference. :albertein
Fires up immediately. Also checked all battery cables and all is good. :bandit:
Well... my battery is only 2 years old and literally its running at 99% capacity so Im pretty sure its fine. At this point Im convinced it was the starter due to the slightly odd noise it would make while turning over. Like a bad solenoid. If its not the starter then it could be the crank...
Interesting. I have had 3 BMWs and never expierienced anything less than a 5 year battery life. In fact my 01 E39 M5 is only on its second OEM battery. Although most winters the M5 stays on a trickle charger so that probably helps.
Actually.. come to think of it now that I know my starter was...
