I have an '05 with 83k miles. I ordered the thermostat and t-stat gasket from Autoparts Warehouse for $41.40 shipped. I'm not so sure about how easy it would be to replace the housing, but replacing the t-stat itself wasn't hard at all. Follow the steps shown above in the links given. You will... -

Moving down to Orlando in a few weeks. I will be towing a 6'x12' U-Haul trailer for the nearly 900 mile trip. The trailer is rated at 4,400ibs with a max load of 2,480ibs. I doubt I'll near the max load which would be a total of 6,880ibs, but for safe keeping what would the safest recommended... -
new to RR, white chunks in coolant, very scared
White means water most of the time. I would simply drain coolant and replace with fresh coolant. If the white substance appears again I would check for leaks in the coolant housing. Maybe even pick up a bottle of "Heat" at your local auto store. It absorbs water from fuel, anti freeze, and coolants.- ncburch22

Johnson Rod lift problems
That's an odd problem, yet I don't think it would be due to the rods as I have had mine on for about 15k miles with no issues. As they say each Landy is different. I'd go with the steps given above.
