    Prospeed Rack

They are tredsPRO. I have them secured with eye bolts, was just checking to see if they fit/stacked well.

    Prospeed Rack

Put this on earlier in the month and forgot to post. I debated heavily on several racks but since this is my daily driver I went with a low profile option from prospeed. I'm glad I did. There is very little noise (you really have to listen for it.), the floor plates are strong and easy to put...

Disco 5 hit with the ugly stick

There is a Simpsons episode that illustrates when a company puts a lot of money into developing a low volume sales vehicle. Season 2, episode 15

    Snorkel for 2012 LR4

Not even sure how this "valve" would work. I removed and cleaned both intakes/MAFs on my 2015 including the side vent connections and don't see how anything there would prevent water from entering in the event the waterline gets that high. The D5 has nifty drain slits in the body panels under...

Disco 5 hit with the ugly stick

Umm...yeah. That's kind of how business works unless you are a niche automaker. Hate to say it but for every one of us that adores the LR4/Defender design there are double the amount that prefer the more modern style. That's not an opinion, that is where the money is going...combined with...

Can someone identify these pieces of plastic?

Looks like the lower seat molding. But I could be wrong, would have to go look at mine.

Disco 5 hit with the ugly stick

Yeah, we ended up getting a RRS for my wife but found out a lot about the new D5 in the process. Not a terrible ride when it's not compared to the LR4. I had the opportunity to take it on the LR course in Asheville this past September and I don't care what anyone says on this forum...it...

Disco 5 hit with the ugly stick

That's not necessarily true. We were looking at getting one for my wife's work vehicle and you can get the EAS on a base SE by adding the capability package ($1530) which also comes with the twin speed gearbox.

Disco 5 hit with the ugly stick

I find it funny that people actually think the mule is an indication of what the final design will be. If that's the case, then the new ford bronco is really a ford everest (that's what is being used as the mule's shell.) --- The only thing that this vehicle will have in common with the final...

    Saying goodbye to an albatross

That's just a mule, the body will not look like that. The wheelbase and underpinnings are probably the only things that will remain from those photos. Just like the Ford Bronco mule that was spotted, it was meant to look like a ford everest so they could test the drivetrain and suspension on...

    Saying goodbye to an albatross

I've always viewed Rovers as the "super hot blonde bombshell that is drop dead gorgeous." They may not be the most reliable, they may need to be kicked to the curb with age, they will most likely want your wallet...but...they are fun to ride, you look better with one, you immediately feel like...

Smart dude with a solid outlook. Hope you figure out the popping issue and that it'll be covered under your extended warranty

    2010 vs. 2015 LR4

I agree, time will tell. Though I have never experienced engine or trans issues...I have already (at 50k miles) had to have the fuel pump replaced as well as the rear diff pinion seal, both of which were covered under the CPO warranty.

    2010 vs. 2015 LR4

Just an observation worth noting...Skimming through the forum it would appear there are more issues reported on here with the v8 opposed to the SCV6 (water pump/head gasket etc.) --- Granted they may be older since there is lapse in time between the release of the SCV6. But...I have over 50k on...

    Factory required annual service?

They offered it when I bought mine in 2016, but you get an option...free service or 2hr LR experience. I opted for the LR experience.

    Surround Cameras

I back in my vehicle in a high traffic area at work, typically full size trucks park next to me blocking my view. The junction view provides an amazing view looking left/right from the front bumper allowing me to pull out without having to worry about getting clipped by cross traffic. I use...

    2010 vs. 2015 LR4

So my wife is getting a new company car, she get's an allowance. Went to LR because she like the new discovery (i'm not a huge fan, but whatever, not my vehicle.) They had a 2013 corris gray LR4 lux on the lot so i asked to take a test drive...I think all the v8 owners have a stigma or...

    2010 vs. 2015 LR4

I didn't feel enough difference for me to get the v8 when getting my 2nd lr4. Not racing it, especially with my Duratracs. I personally like the paddle shifts while off roading, makes it easier. Plus the "puck" clears up the room that is taken up by the knob. The entertainment system is...

Looking at the LR4 for a family hauler

no. has to be a trade into the dealer/dealer trade/dealer auction. This is due to certain items being needed in order to be certified, like the tires need to be new (or damn close), the battery needs to be new (i will get to that in a minute), and maintenance needs to be performed. They then...

Looking at the LR4 for a family hauler

I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND a CPO LR4 --- I am on my 2nd LR4 (52k miles) and so far in the past 3 months I have had to have a new fuel pump installed, rear diff pinion seal replaced, headlight washer replaced, windshield washer replaced...so yeah. Didn't have to pay a dime since it was all...

How our LR3s and 4s would do on this test?

The differential used in that model outback is very similar to the Torsen-C used in the single speed LR4, so I would assume that the LR4 should have no issue with it...
