    Engine gone

My suggestion if a new one is needed....get rid of the underpowered NA V8 (yeah, I said that) and drop the SVR supercharged one in there.

    OCD GLOVE BOX ORGANIZATION

I came home from work yesterday and mine arrived sealed in orange tape straight from China. Sorry to hear yours doesn't fit. My fits my '15, it's pretty nice but not nearly the plastic quality of the original...we shall see how long it lasts.

    Snorkel - How to

I'm not exactly going out looking for lakes to cross. Just would like the peice of mind when I do come across that situation. After doing further research, I am not convinced that it's worth it. I'm not in an area where dust is prevalent and where I go offroad is mostly clay/rocky...

World Land Rover Day 2018 (4.30.18)

I think you nailed it! But regardless....look at this pic of the so called "mule" --- you can see they put a fake rear door and the rear window is clearly mocked up...as that is one window...not two...So now I',m just really overly confused. Bravo to LR for making this difficult.

World Land Rover Day 2018 (4.30.18)

I think they will have the original land rover all refurbed...it would be a missed opportunity if they don't at least unveil something about the new defender.

    LR4 Replacments...

I only have 3 in mind. - New Defender (we shall see...) - G-Wag - Refurb Defender from ECD (East Coast Defender) --- If Toyota can get their shit together and stop making "trendy" plastic fantastics and get back to a utilitarian looking vehicle...then maybe a toyota. I did hear from a...

    Snorkel - How to

welp....I researched another forum and found that even if you do this, it may cause issues which would lead the vehicle to throw fault codes. @NASdiesel , if you're there, please let me know how you managed...

    Snorkel - How to

Been trying to figure out how @NASdiesel got his to work, but no response... So hoping to get some input before I start going about it on my own...but before I start... - Yes, I went through the other threads...doesn't seem to be any first hand experience on how this is done. - Yes, I want...

    Hydraulic Jack Suggestions

Can anyone tell me where on the lower control arm is the best spot to jack up the tire to take the wheel off from experience? Yes... Jack stand is going to be placed on the frame before doing this.

    Hydraulic Jack Suggestions

You can actually save yourself some coin. You might be able to retrofit your current jack with the pro eagle lift pad, which will work with the extension. And there are other companies that make a less expensive version of the plate which will keep it from sinking....hell you could go to a...

    Hydraulic Jack Suggestions

I read in other threads people were iffy about using the control arm as a jack point for rotating tires. Called a reputable LR shop and they said that's what they do on their personal lr4s (they have a proper lift in the shop) --- They also said the 2ton is just fine.

    Anyone with ProSpeed sliders?

@TCM75 The prospeed sliders are really meant to be one part of their whole kit and not provide an underbody protection, just a lateral protection. The reason being is that they designed a full underbody protection that comes in pieces. They pretty much have a peice that will protect...

    Anyone with ProSpeed sliders?

Funny this is being brought back up. I was heavy on the tactical sliders and getting rid of my fugly stock step sides....until I went through a trail with the step sides, hit a side and rubbed along an embankment and it didn't do much damage. Realized that the newer models ('14-'16) have a...

    Hydraulic Jack Suggestions

So I agree with you that a 2 ton jack is sufficient if it's being used to just lift one wheel at a time (and that's what I'd use it for.) I also agree that the jack stand is a must for safety. My question is that when you lift yours up for a tire rotation how high are you actually lifting it...
